Malik Agar Eyre, chairman of the SPLM North and governor of South Blue Nile, and Yasir Saeed Arman, secretary general of the SPLM North, will reflect on the future of Northern Sudan and the current political status of Abyei, Blue Nile, and Southern Kordofan in light of Southern secession in July 2011. Jon Temin, director of the USIP Sudan program, has recently returned from Sudan and will offer opening remarks.
