Alert: Breaking News: U.S. to impose sanctions on Libya

The White House says the U.S. is moving forward with plans to impose unilateral sanctions on Libya in response to violence there.

President Obama's spokesman, Jay Carney, says the U.S. is finalizing that process. He says the U.S. is also working with European partners on additional sanctions and other multilateral actions that could be taken.
