كان مساءا سعيد هذا, فقد تابعت على
محطة السي إن إن تفاصيل المعركة الإنتخابية
على مستوي مرشحي الحزبين الديمقراطي والجمهوري,
فى ولاية أياوا ... وكان إنتصار كلا مرشحي الحزبين
مفاجأة ... لكن لإنتصار أوباما { مرشح الحزب الديمقراطي }
نكهة خاصة, فهو أولا ينحدر عرقيا من أب كيني وأم أمريكية
بيضاء, وهو ثانيا أصغر المرشحين وعلى الضفتين { 45 سنة }
وهو ثالثا من أحدث أعضاء السنيت ولما فقط أكمل فيه عامين.
وهو رابعا يتمتع بعمق يفوق سنه ويتجاوز به مزاعم { الخبرة }
التي حاولت هيلاري كلينتون أن تستخدمها ضده, وهو خامسا يملك
عمقا فكريا يفوق عمره وفااااااهم ما شاء الله, كما له سادسا
وأخيرا قدرات خطابية عالية, ولدرجة جعلت بعض المحللين يضعونه
فى خانة مارتن لوثر كينج.

فوزه اليوم فى أياوا يحمل مؤشرات لإحتمال نجاحه فى بقية الولايات,
إذ أنه فاز في ولاية سوادها الأعظم من البيض { 94 بالمائة } من
جملة السكان ... فيما لا يتجاوز عدد السود فيها الأربعة بالمائة.
كما وضح عبر الإحصاءآت أن أوباما يتمتع بتأييد غالبية الشباب
الذين يقل عمرهم عن الثلاثين ... كما يتمتع بتأييد قوة إجتماعية
معتبرة من النساء .

أما الأهم ... فإن إرتفاع مستوى المشاركة فى إنتخابات أيوا لحزبه,
يعزيه المحللون كذلك لمشاركة باراك ولدعوته لتوسيع أوعية المشاركة
السياسة والخروج بها عن النطاقات التقليدية التاريخية... فيما يبنئ
بأن باراك سوف يعيد تأهيل العملية السياسية الأمريكية وعل نحو غير
مسبوق.

هيلاري في خطابها بدت وكانها الفائزة وبدت متماسكة الشيئ الذي
سيساعد كثيرا في رفع اسهمها في ما تبقي من رحلة الانخابات الرئاسية
رغم حصولها علي المركز الثالث.

لا اعتقد بان ذكر اوباما لاصله الافريقي فيه اي ايحاء
عنصري اوقبلي، فاوباما نفسه قد تحدث عن هذا الامر عقب
اعلان نتيجة فوزه في ايوا ودائما ما نجده يتحدث عن هذا
الامر الذي يشكل فخرا له...عموما هو شاب ذكي وخطيب محنك
يشعرك بانه هو الاصح والافضل في انتخابت الرئاسة الامريكية
الا انني اتفق كليا مع الاصوات التي تقول بان حظه سيتعثر كثيرا
في ما تبقى من رحلته الانتخابية ولكن لا استبعد توليه لمنصب
نائب الرئيس او وزيرا للخارجية في حال فوز الحزب اليمقراطي
في انتخابات العام 2009....هيري ايضا لا اظن ان حظها هي الاخري
سيكون باحسن من حظ اوباما...جون ادوارد لم يكن اداؤه جيدا اذ
انه ركز علي محاربة الخصوم وفي خطابه اليوم لم يبارك لاوبامابعكس
ما فعلت هيلاري التي هنأت اوباما وادوارد في مقدمة خطابها الا انه
رغم كل هذا الاداء السيئ والمهاجمة المستمرة لبقية اعضاء حزبه يظل
صاحب الحظ الاوفر في هذه الانتخابات.


الرأي العام يشير الي مت رامي من قبل الجمهوريين هو الذي سيفوز في
ولاية نيو هامشير وهيلاري من قبل الديقراطيين هي التي ستفوز في نفس
الولاية....اوباما ذكر في خطابه اليوم بانه اذا فاز في نيو هامبشير
فانه سيفوز بالبيت الابيض ولكن لا اظن ان سيكون له حظ في هذه الولاية

نعم لقد فاز باراك اوباما فى ولاية اياوا وجاء تلرتيبه الاول فى السباق والسناتور ادوارد الثانى وهيلارى كلينتون الثالثة
ولكن عند الاقتراب من خط النهاية فان اللوبى اليهودى سيقف ضده لانه قبل ان يتحول للمسيحية كان مسلما وكان يدرس فى مدرسة اسلامية فى

لدي قناعة بأن الأجهزة السرية مهما بلغت إحترافيتها و مهنيتها لا يمكن أن تعبر بصورة حقيقية عن ( مصلحة عامة )
هذا إن كان هناك شيئ فعلاً إسمه مصلحة عامة ..

موظفي الأجهزة السرية في أي مكان في العالم مصابون بلوثة .. لا يمكن أن يروا الواقع كما هو أبداً
و لا يمكن أن تكون حلولهم التي يقدموها صالحة .. و لا يمكن أن تكون مقبولة حتى لشعوبهم أو للأجسام التي يمثلوها

إنهم دائماً يعبرون عن رؤى قصيرة النظر .. تقوم على إفتراضات أو رغبات مستقبلية غالباً مستحيلة
رغبات الشعوب .. أحلامهم .. عواطفهم .. كل هذا لا يمكن أن تقضي عليه بمجرد trick
و ما يسمى مصلحة عامة تسعى لها هذه الأجهزة السرية هو مصلحة أو قناعات المسؤولين عنها فقط

ممارسات مثل الإغتيالات وغيرها لا تمثل خطورة على المجتمعات و المؤسسات المستقرة
لأنه ورغم أهمية الكاريزمات و المؤهلات الشخصية .. فلا يتوقف عليها المشروع

الخطورة تنبع في مجتمعات وبلاد مثل بلادنا ..
حيث في دولة بسكانها الأربعين مليون لم يوجد غير شخص واضح إستطاع خلق قبول لخطاب الوحدة و التسامح و المساواة
ولذلك إغتياله يخلق مشكلة .. لأنه لا يوجد من يحل محله !
البقية لا تنظر أبعد من قبائلها أو قطعان المؤيدين الرعناء أو فيللها

و كذلك تعامل ساستنا تحت تهديد التخويف و الشراء مع العلاقات مع مصر
قصر نظر القائمين على الأمر في مصر جعلهم يتعاملون برؤى قصيرة النظر .. حين كان بإمكانهم ضمان مصالح شعبهم لحد معقول دون إستفزاز الآخرين و التغول عليهم و تجاوز مصالح الشعوب المجاورة ..
قصر النظر الذي يجعلهم يبذرون ملايين الأمتار المكعبة على إستصلاح الصحراء بدلاً من شراكة حقيقة ذات كفاءة إنتاجية مع دول المنبع .. بدعاوي السيادة ! .. ناسين من بإمكانه أن يغلق المياه !
هذه هي عقلية المخابرات العقيمة ..
ماذا أفادهم شراء و تخويف النخب السودانية ؟
لقد تبنى الرأي العام السوداني بالتدريج وعياً مضاداً للمصريين .. خاصة في شمال السودان ودارفور.. وهو irreversible
ديل إلا قنبلة نووية .. خلي مخابراتهم و إعتيالاتهم تنفعهم !

You know, they said this day would never come. They said our sights were set too high. They said this country was too divided, too disillusioned to ever come together around a common purpose

But on this January night, at this defining moment in history, you have done what the cynics said we couldn't do

You have done what the state of New Hampshire can do in five days. You have done what America can do in this new year, 2008

In lines that stretched around schools and churches, in small towns and in big cities, you came together as Democrats, Republicans and independents, to stand up and say that we are one nation. We are one people. And our time for change has come

You said the time has come to move beyond the bitterness and pettiness and anger that's consumed Washington

To end the political strategy that's been all about division, and instead make it about addition. To build a coalition for change that stretches through red states and blue states.

Because that's how we'll win in November, and that's how we'll finally meet the challenges that we face as a nation

We are choosing hope over fear. We're choosing unity over division

You said the time has come to tell the lobbyists who think their money and their influence speak louder than our voices that they don't own this government - we do. And we are here to take it back

The time has come for a president who will be honest about the choices and the challenges we face, who will listen to you and learn from you, even when we disagree, who won't just tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to know

And in New Hampshire, if you give me the same chance that Iowa did tonight, I will be that president for America

I'll be a president who finally makes health care affordable and available to every single American, the same way I expanded health care in Illinois, by by bringing Democrats and Republicans together to get the job done. I'll be a president who ends the tax breaks for companies that ship our jobs overseas and put a middle-class tax cut into the pockets of working Americans who deserve it

I'll be a president who harnesses the ingenuity of farmers and scientists and entrepreneurs to free this nation from the tyranny of oil once and for all

And I'll be a president who ends this war in Iraq and finally brings our troops home who restores our moral standing, who understands that 9/11 is not a way to scare up votes but a challenge that should unite America and the world against the common threats of the 21st century. Common threats of terrorism and nuclear weapons, climate change and poverty, genocide and disease

Tonight, we are one step closer to that vision of America because of what you did here in Iowa

And so I'd especially like to thank the organizers and the precinct captains, the volunteers and the staff who made this all possible

And while I'm at it on thank yous, I think it makes sense for me to thank the love of my life, the rock of the Obama family, the closer on the campaign trail

I know you didn't do this for me. You did this because you believed so deeply in the most American of ideas - that in the face of impossible odds, people who love this country can change it

I know this. I know this because while I may be standing here tonight, I'll never forget that my journey began on the streets of Chicago doing what so many of you have done for this campaign and all the campaigns here in Iowa, organizing and working and fighting to make people's lives just a little bit better

I know how hard it is. It comes with little sleep, little pay and a lot of sacrifice. There are days of disappointment. But sometimes, just sometimes, there are nights like this, a night that, years from now, when we've made the changes we believe in, when more families can afford to see a doctor, when our children inherit a planet that's a little cleaner and safer, when the world sees America differently, and America sees itself as a nation less divided and more united, you'll be able to look back with pride and say that this was the moment when it all began

This was the moment when the improbable beat what Washington always said was inevitable

This was the moment when we tore down barriers that have divided us for too long; when we rallied people of all parties and ages to a common cause; when we finally gave Americans who have never participated in politics a reason to stand up and to do so

This was the moment when we finally beat back the policies of fear and doubts and cynicism, the politics where we tear each other down instead of lifting this country up. This was the moment

Years from now, you'll look back and you'll say that this was the moment, this was the place where America remembered what it means to hope. For many months, we've been teased, even derided for talking about hope. But we always knew that hope is not blind optimism. It's not ignoring the enormity of the tasks ahead or the roadblocks that stand in our path

It's not sitting on the sidelines or shirking from a fight. Hope is that thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us if we have the courage to reach for it and to work for it and to fight for it

Hope is what I saw in the eyes of the young woman in Cedar Rapids who works the night shift after a full day of college and still can't afford health care for a sister who's ill. A young woman who still believes that this country will give her the chance to live out her dreams

Hope is what I heard in the voice of the New Hampshire woman who told me that she hasn't been able to breathe since her nephew left for Iraq. Who still goes to bed each night praying for his safe return

Hope is what led a band of colonists to rise up against an empire. What led the greatest of generations to free a continent and heal a nation. What led young women and young men to sit at lunch counters and brave fire hoses and march through Selma and Montgomery for freedom's cause

Hope, hope is what led me here today. With a father from Kenya, a mother from Kansas and a story that could only happen in the United States of America
Hope is the bedrock of this nation. The belief that our destiny will not be written for us, but by us, by all those men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is, who have the courage to remake the world as it should be

That is what we started here in Iowa and that is the message we can now carry to New Hampshire and beyond

The same message we had when we were up and when we were down; the one that can save this country, brick by brick, block by block, that together, ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

Because we are not a collection of red states and blue states. We are the United States of America. And in this moment, in this election, we are ready to believe again.

طبعا الفرحة لينا كأفارقة ليها طعم تاني.. فباراك هو الأمريكي الوحيد الذي يستحق أن يطلق عليه (أفريكان أمريكان). وليس الأمريكان الآخرين..
لكن فرحتنا تظل معلقة حتى اللحظات الأخيرة وأصوات اللجنة الإنتخابية التي رجحت كفة بوش الإبن في عام 2000. والتي عرفت أن معظم الرؤساء الأمريكان لم يفوزوا بعدد الأصوات الشعبية وإنما بحسابات هذه اللجنة (شفت الديموقراطية العجيبة دي؟؟!!)..
أخشى أن تضع حسابات أخرى ضد هذا الشاب الطموح المهذب.

For several years now, American politics has been in upheaval: terrorism, war, scandal, the meltdown of the Bush administration. But the results of Thursday's Iowa caucuses were the clearest sign yet that something transformative is happening - old orders are being cast away, new faces are surging forward. Iowa suggests that American voters are in a mood to place bets and take risks

This is terrible news for the major party establishments. That was evident on Thursday night, on a chartered jet from Iowa to New Hampshire in the wee hours after the caucuses. On board was the press corps that follows Hillary Clinton, as well as her aides who worked their way down the aisle furiously spinning the night's disastrous results. With strained faces, the likes of longtime Clinton pollster Mark Penn and former Democratic party chairman Terry McAuliffe talked themselves hoarse over the engines, arguing that Hillary could survive a third-place Iowa finish some people consider a political death sentence

Perhaps. But it's clear that in spurning the mighty Clinton machine for an upstart such as Barack Obama, Iowa Democrats were also rejecting their party's old guard. Likewise, in choosing the little-known Arkansan Mike Huckabee, Iowa Republicans also defied their party's establishment. GOP [Grand Old Party] barons from Washington to Wall Street - the think-tankers, columnists and money men who supported the Bush administration - see the folksy preacher as an unelectable 'rube' [hick] with an intolerable weakness for higher taxes and social spending. But with Huckabee's clear win over Mitt Romney, they, too, were rebuffed just as thoroughly as were the Clintonites. Iowans of both parties have issued a call to reboot their political system

It's too soon to say whether these insurgents can win their parties' nominations. (Obama's prospects look much better than the underfunded and more widely resisted Huckabee's.) But it seems likely that this taste for upheaval will carry through to the 2008 election. With no incumbent President or Vice-President on the ticket, and with the traumas of 9/11 and Iraq beginning to fade, voters will make a reassessment of their beliefs and preferences. In all probability, that will restore the Democrats to the White House after eight years of exile

Why? Because America is becoming a fundamentally Democratic country. That may surprise observers startled by the long reign of the Bush administration. But the notion that the Bush era showed the US to be a 'conservative' nation is wrong. And the 2008 election will prove it.

Among those who buy into the fallacy that the American instinct is truly conservative, former White House svengali Karl Rove is the best known. When George W Bush was elected in 2000, Rove boasted that the country was embarking upon a political 'realignment' that would usher in a generation of Republican rule. His ambition seemed comically grandiose. Until 9/11. The World Trade Centre and Pentagon attacks threw the American psyche into a reactionary jolt, one that Rove and his President happily exploited

On 10 September 2001, Bush had been a faltering President struggling against Democrats in the Congress. Two years later, Republicans had exploited national security fears to consolidate their power on Capitol Hill and launch an invasion of Iraq. Polling even showed that public opinion slanted rightward on issues such as abortion and gay marriage, as people sought comfort in 'traditional values'

To Rove and his cohorts, 9/11 simply accelerated an inexorable shift within the American electorate towards Republican values such as lower taxes, hawkish foreign policy and social conservatism. Thus, when a Democratic surge cost Republicans control of the Congress in November 2006, conservatives dismissed it. The American psyche hasn't shifted, they said; rather, the Republican brand has suffered a horrible run of luck - from Bush's mismanagement of Iraq to hurricane Katrina to sex scandals involving Republican members of Congress Mark Foley and Larry Craig as well as the thieving GOP superlobbyist Jack Abramoff. As Brit Hume of the conservative Fox News network put it on election night 2006, Democrats had carried the day, but 'from what we could see from all the polling and everything else, it remains a conservative country'

By this thinking, Republicans are down but hardly out. Once a new messenger begins making the case for conservatism, free from the taint of Bush and Cheney, Americans will welcome the GOP back into their loving arms. But this thinking is delusional. Republicans aren't the victims of a string of misfortunes; they were the beneficiaries of a deeply unsettling period of war and terrorism. Now that fears of terrorism have dimmed and the Iraq war has turned from a political benefit to a political liability, it will likely become evident that the foundations of their party are crumbling

Look at voting patterns. During the Reagan era of the 1980s, the old Democratic coalition of minorities and union-friendly, working-class Democrats frayed as conservatives used cultural appeals to split off blue-collar 'Reagan Democrats'. But over the past 15 years, two new groups - women and professionals, especially those in America's rising 'knowledge' economy - have flocked to the Democratic camp. Professionals, a broadly defined class that ranges from doctors to actors, sympathise with some of the GOP's instincts, but have increasingly tended to vote on the basis of their social libertarianism on issues such as abortion and stem cell research. Women have been alienated by Republican hostility to social programmes

While a generation ago, women voted strongly in favour of Republicans, their rising levels of education and participation in the workforce have brought them into the Democratic fold, especially worrisome for the GOP, given that women are more reliable voters than men. This shift has been largely responsible for a gradual change in the electoral map, as these voting blocs are turning once-solid Republican states such as Virginia, Arizona and Colorado into places where Democrats can and do win

Moreover, Republicans have alienated minorities in droves. First, there was Katrina, whose images of African-Americans left unaided in New Orleans erased the gains made by Republican outreach efforts to black voters. More recently came the wave of demagoguery over illegal immigrants, who have become a scapegoat for America's rising economic insecurity. Rove's realignment plan counted on wooing America's Latino population into the Republican fold. Last spring, Bush tried to grant millions of illegal immigrants a new path to US citizenship (he was unsuccessful), but his fellow Republicans trashed the idea as an 'amnesty'. The effect is evident in a December poll showing that Latinos prefer Democrats to Republicans by a 34-point margin. Rove's dream has been destroyed for the foreseeable future

As the Democratic coalition expands, the Republican coalition is collapsing. Ronald Reagan's greatest political triumph was his ability to join together three groups with little in common: economic conservatives, religious conservatives, and national-defence conservatives. Bush brilliantly sustained this coalition, but over the past few years those branches have begun to clash. Evangelical voters, who tend to have lower incomes, have grown suspicious of the party's wealthy plutocrats. (The rise of Mike Huckabee, who offers a strong class-appeal suspicion of the rich, is perfect evidence.) The more socially moderate wealthy Reublicans are blenching at the rising pitch of the anti-gay, anti-abortion Christian agenda. And everyone is wary of the defence conservatives who led the way into Iraq

Polls show that Americans have grown suspicious of free trade, support raising taxes on the rich and back government intervention to increase health care coverage. Thanks to the debacle in Iraq, Democrats have even closed a generation-long Republican advantage on the question of who can best handle national security, once one of the Democrats' most debilitating weaknesses

None of this guarantees that Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or John Edwards will win back the White House. Another 9/11-style event may rescue the Republicans. But the Iowa results suggest that voters are in a revolutionary mood, that they feel their political system has drifted out of tune with their true beliefs. After eight painful and confusing years, those beliefs will likely reaffirm themselves next year in the form of a Democratic President

'Let it be recorded," wrote columnist EJ Dionne in the New York Times, "that for at least one week in American history, in a middle-sized, midwestern state, a broad range of white voters took the presidential candidacy of a black man with the utmost seriousness." Dionne was not writing last Friday, following Barack Obama's victory in Iowa, but in April 1988 as Jesse Jackson's primary campaign in Wisconsin drew to a close

The week before Jackson had scored a stunning win in the Michigan caucuses, winning 55% support, including 20% of the white vote. In Wisconsin, a state with a black population of just 2%, white people were handing him their babies to kiss. "Look, something is happening up here," he told one of his aides. "And I'm not quite sure what it is. But this outpouring of affection wherever I go, it's for real. It's real, I'm telling you, it's there. I know when it's there."

As Obama arrived in New Hampshire - the third whitest state in the country - last Friday he could have been forgiven for thinking something similar. At an event in Milford some of his supporters were so fired up, organisers feared they presented a security risk. (At the same event, Hillary Clinton was booed off the stage.) Polls over the weekend have shown him gaining ground on Clinton before tomorrow's vote. His crowds here have been huge and rowdy. Something is happening here

Obama's win in Iowa was historic, and may yet prove to be decisive. But the fact that he has got this far and done this well is not unprecedented. In style, temperament, agenda and biography Jackson and Obama could not be more different. But in the extent to which they both epitomise a generational shift in the opportunities and constituencies open to black politicians and illustrate how to capitalise on them, they have a great deal in common. How they understand their role in politics, and how they are generally understood, tells us a great deal about how racial politics in particular and American politics in general have changed

For there are a number of commentators - particularly, but not exclusively, conservatives - who seek to portray Obama not just as a generation removed from Jackson, but the antithesis of everything Jackson stood for. To them his success signals both the failure of "black" politics and the removal of "black" issues from the political arena. As such, his victory does not reshape our analysis of how race is understood in America; it marks a repudiation of the existence of American racism itself

"The two big losers tonight are probably Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton," said the columnist George Will on election night. "Those who have a sort of investment in the traditional and, I believe, utterly exhausted narrative about race relations in the United States."

On CNN Ronald Reagan's drug tsar, Will Bennett, claimed Obama "has taught the black community you don't have to act like Jesse Jackson, you don't have to act like Al Sharpton. You can talk about the issues. Great dignity. And this is a breakthrough."

In truth, their comments really show that one of the few things that has not changed in the past 20 years is their backward and self-serving analysis of racial politics. "Men make their own history," wrote Karl Marx in the 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte. "But they do not make it just as they please; they do not make it under circumstances chosen by themselves, but under given circumstances directly encountered and inherited from the past."

Jackson emerged from the civil rights movement at around the time Obama started school. His trajectory was classic for a black politician who came of age in the 60s. He rose through religion and entered the political stage from the left. His campaign was rooted in the black community (he won 98% of the black vote in New York City). But for it to be viable he had to create a constituency - of union workers, anti-nuclear campaigners, feminists, farmers, Latinos and gay activists - that had not previously existed. "You were bringing people together who had never been together before," a Jackson adviser, Bob Borosage, told Marshall Frady in his book Jesse. "There wasn't any inheritance so you had to do it almost literally union hall by union hall."

By the time Obama came of age, there was no civil rights movement to emerge from and few union halls to go to. But thanks to the gains of the civil rights era he could attend the nation's best universities (Columbia and Harvard) and get a fantastic job. With no roots in the black politics - the soil was too barren for anything beyond community organising - he emerged from academe. Politically speaking, he was not produced by the black community, but presented to it

In this respect, Obama shares a great deal with a number of black politicians of his generation who have come to the fore in recent years. Among them are the Massachusetts governor, Deval Patrick (Harvard); the Newark mayor, Cory Booker (Yale); the Democratic Leadership Council chair and former Tennessee congressman, Harold Ford Jr (University of Pennsylvania); and the Maryland lieutenant governor, Anthony Brown (Harvard). Obama's trajectory is not the rule; but nowadays it is by no means an exception

By the time these fortysomethings entered the political stage, there was little of the left actually left. The union movement had been decimated alongside the industries that provided most of their activists. Many of the small farmers had foreclosed. The feminist and civil rights movements had withered. In short, the forces that made a Jackson candidacy viable are themselves scarcely viable

That's not to say that there isn't considerable room to his left. John Edwards is running a far more progressive campaign, stressing corporate greed and pledging a rapid exit from Iraq. And one could imagine that a radical coalition uniting the burgeoning Latino movement, what remains of the unions, anti-war campaigners and environmentalists could be possible. The issue is whether it could win. Edwards is trailing, and Jackson lost in Wisconsin

Meanwhile, Obama has himself created a new constituency that is expanding the Democratic base, just like Jackson did. Its roots are not in race, class or single issues but age and ideology. The bulk of his support comes from young and independent voters. In South Carolina, we will see if African Americans will follow. Politically, the connections are looser and far less radical; but electorally they may prove more effective

In all of this, beyond some civil rights references, race is virtually absent from his message but central to his meaning. He doesn't have to bring it up because not only does he espouse change, he looks like change. He has the role of an inadequate and ineffective balm on the long-running sore that is race in America. His victory would symbolise a great deal and change very little

When he starts his speech, "They said this day would never come", the mostly white crowd in Iowa is thinking in terms of racial history, not just electoral victory. The babies Jackson kissed 20 years ago are going to the polls
