THAT DAWN

O that magic dawn
Of democracy and freedom
With justice and human-right
Narrate in pleasure and joy
To all on all miles
Of four leading eyes
How can you bright
Glitter and rise at
This divine fleeting sun-rise
Of birth and life
While that giant land
And earth of Uncle Sam
Does color and draw
You oh that dawn
Through all of the time
Of flowers and thorns
According to its one eye
Of power and interests
That can all lead
On all these miles
Of east and west
With north and south
To that forest and bush
Of conflict and fight
Where that white dove
In bliss and joy
Does weave its nest
Of peace and union
