تلك يقظة مطلوبة و يجب أن يرتفع صوتها ليعلو أصوات طبول دعاة التشفي السائدة الآن.. ما قامت به حركة العدل والمساواة مغامرة سياسية وعسكرية مرفوضة، تنقل الصراع السياسي في السودان لمستوى يتعدى حدود رفع السلاح دفاعاً عن النفس، أو رفع السلاح حماية للنهوض الجماهيري، ليحوله من نضال جماهيري يستهدف إستعادة الديمقراطية، إلي صراع إنقلابي يستهدف زمام الحكم وفرض الإرادة بقوة السلاح. لكن كل ذلك لن يعمينا عن ضرورة فضح مثيري الغرائز البدائية الذين يريدونها فرصة لتصفية الحسابات..

الأسرى تجب معاملتهم وفق الإتفاقيات المنصوص عليها والموقع عليها السودان، أي إعتقال يجب أن يكون بإشراف السلطة القضائية، وتحظر كل أساليب التعذيب، ولا عقاب من غير محاكمات عادلة تتوفر فيها للمتهمين كل فرص الدفاع القانوني.

نرجو لشركاء المؤتمر الوطني في الحكم، مثل الحركة الشعبية وخلافهم، أن يكون لهم دور سياسي ملموس يفرض سيادة حكم القانون، ويمنع إتخاذ الأحداث ذريعة للتضييق على مساحات العمل السياسي، وقمع المعارضين.
