قوات الأمن تقتحم منزل مبارك الفاضل!!!

Today, Thursday August 16th 2007, a police force comprising a large number of heavily armed men stormed the home in Khartoum of Sayed Mubarak ElMahdi, Chairman of the Umma Party Movement of Reform and Renewal. Present during the unannounced raid, led by the Chair of the Ministry of Justice's appointed Judicial Committee, Yasser Ahmed Mohamed, were Sayed Mubarak along with Sayed Abdeljalil El-Basha (Secretary General of the Umma Party Reform and Renewal) and Retired Army General Mohamed Ali Hamid, all of whom are accused in the alleged sabotage/coup plot.

The purpose of the raid which lasted 15 minutes is as yet unknown to the family of Sayed Mubarak ElMahdi. The number and arms of the force caused considerable alarm to members of Sayed Mubarak's household especially the Umma Party Chairman's sickly mother who is 87 years old.
