انباء عن خسائر فادحة للجيش السوداني في منطقة عديلة!!

KHARTOUM, Sudan: Heavy fighting in southern Darfur has killed scores of rebels and government forces over the past week, and the Sudanese air force has bombed several villages, rebels and international observers in Darfur reported.

The clashes began Aug. 1 when a coalition of rebels, including members of the Justice and Equality Movement, captured the strategic town of Adila, where Sudanese troops were stationed to protect the only railway linking Darfur to Sudan's capital, Khartoum, rebels said.

The Sudanese army and its allied janjaweed militias "were summarily defeated, leaving behind heavy weapons and ammunition," JEM said in a statement. The group said the offensive was led by Abdelazziz Ushar, a Darfur field commander previously fighting a separate rebellion in eastern Sudan.

A senior international observer in Darfur said Thursday that Sudanese forces had recaptured Adila, located near South Darfur's border with the neighboring region of Khordofan, but reported clashes were ongoing.

"It seems over 100 (Sudanese) soldiers or janjaweed have been killed," the official told The Associated Press on the telephone. At least 10 rebels were killed and 15 injured, he said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

Rebels said they launched the offensive because the janjaweed were burning villages in the area.

The African Union mission in Darfur confirmed there had been heavy fighting, but said it had no further details.

Rebels and international observers said the fighters seized more than 50 government vehicles and some heavy armament during the offensive.

Meanwhile, Sudan's air force bombed at least four villages in the area this week, observers and rebels said, but there were no reports of casualties because many of the civilians have fled.

One of JEM's leaders said his group shot down a government MIG-29 fighter jet on Wednesday that was participating in the bombings, a claim denied by the government and disputed by other rebels.

Abdullahi el-Tom told AP the aircraft's wreckage had been found 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) south of Adila, but the pilot had not been located.

Rebels from a faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement fighting alongside JEM told international observers the jet crashed because of a mechanical problem.

Army spokesman Gen. Osman Mohamed al-Agbash denied that rebels had downed a government jet, but indicated the military had faced heavy fighting in Adila.

"JEM wants to tell the international community that the army has used air bombing in (the) recapturing of Adila," the Sudan Media Center, a news services deemed close to the government, quoted al-Agbash as saying. There was no comment on military casualties.

Military flights are banned over Darfur by several U.N. resolutions and peace agreements, and Sudanese authorities routinely deny conducting air raids.

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir visited Darfur last month and said the region was largely pacified. But the United Nations mission in Sudan said there have been clashes between rebels and the government in northern Darfur in recent days.

The heavy fighting in Adila came as the U.N. and AU sponsored a Darfur rebel conference in Arusha, Tanzania, to relaunch talks with the government after a May 2006 peace agreement between Khartoum and one rebel faction last year proved largely ineffective.

The U.N. Security Council on Thursday welcomed "the substantial progress made" at last week's conference and called on all parties "to move from pre-negotiations to negotiations as soon as possible."

The council also called on the parties "to demonstrate their commitment to the political process through concrete actions, in particular cessation of hostilities."

Council members called on all key movement leaders to participate in the AU-U.N. process and stressed the importance of pursuing political negotiations and the deployment of peacekeepers simultaneously.

More than 200,000 people have died in Darfur since ethnic African rebels took up arms against the Arab-dominated central government, accusing it of discrimination. Khartoum is accused of retaliating by unleashing janjaweed militias, which are blamed for the worst atrocities against civilians in a conflict that has displaced more than 2.5 million people.

The government denies the charges but resisted for months a push for U.N. peacekeepers to replace the 7,000-strong AU force in Darfur. A July Security Council resolution provides for a "hybrid force" of 26,000 U.N. and AU troops to deploy in Darfur under a compromise deal that could see the peacekeepers in the region by the end of the year.

التحليل :

الحديث عن خسائر : جاء في بيان عن العدل والمساواة والمراقب الدولي .
ولكن السؤال من الذي تكون خسائره ثقيلة ، في ظل استخدام طيران ؟ واسترداد عديلة يعني انسحاب المسلحين ، وعادة في ظل استخدام الطيران تكون الخسائر اكبر لدى القوات الارضية .

- اسقاط الطائرة وعب اثبات ذلك يقع على العدل والمساواة ، التي قالت ان الحطام موجود ، وإذا كان موجودا فاين صوره .

ولكن الطريف تعديل الراوية :
- اولا اسقطنا طائرةميج 29 .

الملاحظة المهمة : ان السيطرة على عديلة يعني قطع خط السكة حديد الوحيد الذي يربط دارفور بالخرطوم فهل هذا في مصلحة الاهالي ، والحديث عن نقل مساعدات للمتضررين من الحرب ومعلوم ان القطارات من وسائل النقل الاقل تكلفة والاكثر سعة ، وهل ضرب الاهداف المدنية "القطارات وخطوطها" ، واستهدافها يعني استهداف النظام ؟

الزملاء المتداخلون : هنا لاتهمني المواقف من مع من او ضد من؟ مايهمني المهنية والاحترافية والمصداقية وتقديم معلومة تعكس الواقع حقيقة بعيدا عن اي تزييف للحقائق .

التحليل :
من الواضح ان بيانات العدل والمساواة فيها قدر من التهويل وعدم الدقة فكيف تكون خسائرهم قليلة والجيش يستخدم الطيران ، والى الان لم ينشروا صورة حطام الطائرة ، وعدلوا الراوية من اسقاط الى سقطت الطائرة بسبب مشكلة ميكانيكية . وبيان الجيش متوازن ، واعترف بوجود قتال عنيف . وواضح ان بيانات العدل والمساوة لصرف الانظار عن استرداد الجيش لعديلة ولخسائرهم.


اما حكاية "سي ان ان " واعتمادها على اسوشيدتبرس "حانشوف" !

اولا بحثت في موقع "سي ان ان" العربي والانجليزي حول عديلة ووجدت انها لم تعتمد على اسوشيدبرس وانما اعتمدت على "تحالف من اجل دارفور" و"صوت امريكا" ومراسلها في نيروبي :

MALAKAL, Sudan, Aug. 10 — The African Union is investigating reports of a new round of intense fighting between Sudanese government troops and rebels in Darfur in which more than 100 soldiers may have been killed, an African Union spokesman said Friday.

Several aid organizations said the fighting was imperiling humanitarian programs in a swath of southern Darfur that has become so lawless and violent — and rebel-controlled — that it is considered a no-go zone even for peacekeepers.

“We’re looking into several reports about the fighting and we’re very concerned,” said Noureddine Mezni, a spokesman for the African Union, which has 7,000 peacekeepers in Sudan. “What’s most disappointing is that this broke out just days after the Arusha agreement.”

An agreement was signed this week in Arusha, Tanzania, by more than half a dozen of Darfur’s many rebel groups, which pledged to work together to end the bloodshed in Darfur that has claimed more than 200,000 lives and destabilized a large area of central Africa. The Sudanese government welcomed the rebels’ agreement tepidly, saying it supported the idea of a cease-fire, but was disappointed that several insurgent groups had boycotted the peace process.

One of the leading rebel groups to sign the Arusha agreement was the Justice and Equality Movement, which has fought the government on and off with varying degrees of intensity, partly because of violent internal splits.

This week, the movement said it had shot down a Sudanese fighter jet and routed government forces in southern Darfur, claims the government denied. The movement also accused Sudan of bombing villages recently and driving thousands of people from their homes, which the government also said was false.

According to aid workers, the fighting in southern Darfur has been exacerbated by increasing tensions among nomadic tribes, which until recently had sided with the government.

At the same time, United Nations officials have said that attacks on aid convoys and aid workers across Darfur are rising sharply, and that some towns as close as 15 miles apart can now be reached only by helicopter because the roads are so dangerous.

لست هنا بصدد الحديث عن حجم الخسائر أو خلافه فواضح تماماً ان الخبر (زايدنو جك مويه) لكني أتساءل لماذا لم تدين أي دوله في العالم ماحدث بعديله !!!!!
الحكومه اعلنت وقف إطلاق النار وإلتزمت بذلك وفجأه تأتي ضربه غادره كهذه ولاتتحرك أي دوله لتدين هذا العمل التخريبي ... أليس أمراً محزناً

Then if you are a journalist for more than 20 years how can you see that because someone who is not autjorized to talk to the media makes a statement makes the news piece not credible?
