Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Please take the time to read through the Questions below, it will only take few minutes of your time.I promise

1- Are you tired of horrible news about Sudan that you almost stopped reading the news .

2-You were born in the 80s and all you know about Sudan is war , mad political parties , humid and hot weather all year long and Electricity and water shut downs. The only things you like are gongolez , doom and dandorma but you can't have them in Canada anyways!

3- You get anxiety attacks and start sweating and wish you can disappear every time your professor mentions
Sudan , in fear of what is going to come next , which 100% of the time is talks about famine , poverty , Genocide , civil war etc.

4- When travelling you feel like you are not holding a Sudanese passport but more of Al Qaeda lifetime membership card. You experience rapid heart beat every time you are asked to show your passport , especially when applying for a visa.

5- You avoid typing Sudan in Google's search engine because the last time you did , websites titled Sponsor a Sudanese Child , ,Sudan breaks the records for Mascaras Please Donate , The Lost Boys of Sudan , 10.00000000 people dead in Sudan ...there goes your good mood for the day.

6- You are angry and had enough of belonging to a corrupted ' way under developed ' country . A country Political-Scientists had to open a special branch for and called it ' Forth World Countries'.

7- Are you inches away from feeling ashamed of being Sudanese, sometimes you catch yourself fantasizing you belong to another country. Some where nice , like Brazil or Jamaica . You at least have met or have known 2-3 Sudanese guys with dread locks or braids and wear T-shirts with flags of other countries.

8- You get REALLY excited and filled with joy when someone tells you that you don't look Sudanese and look like some other nation.

9- You are starting to look up your family's tree to identify yourself with your great great grandfather who is Turkish or Moroccan . You are actually starting to tell people I am Sudanese but originally Moroccan , but you won't tell that to Moroccans because they will burst out laughing.

10- You feel like you are the Governor of Dar-Fur because every time you say you are Sudanese a Canadian will ask you about Darfur . As if war-crime is our international trademark and we know nothing but blood....In prevention of this now you say I am African .. and leave it as that. If they ask where is Sudan you say it's right underneath Egypt as if that is the only country beside our borders. Coming to think about why didn't holy books mention Sudan when we are right next door?? then you will hear the old saying' Sudan and Egypt were one country'!! Why are we black then , did someone grill us after separation?lol

11- You were brought up in the Gulf and used to cry and refuse to go to school the next when they play ' al mambo al Sudany' and ' kida kida ya al terela' on TV , knowing that children will tease you badly the next morning.

Are you too tired to feel sympathetic for Sudan's current situation. Deep in side you feel it's a hopeless case and you are doomed and cursed to be linked to this country?. You are 5 minutes away from giving up?

PLEASE DO NOT!

If you answered yes to any of the above questions , there is something you can do that will help you feel much better. No it is not a Samy al Moghrabi party or a Caribbean Cruise so don't get excited .

I guess I will have to add another question,

Are you tired of the negativity in some of the Sudanese people that comes with no answers or solutions and lacks constructive criticism?
I don't know about you,
but I AM.
