    ريتا مارلي تحكي قصة الأغنية الحقيقية التي كُتبت في سندي(الدقيقة 1:53 )

    يُقال بأن أغنية Waiting in Vain كٌتبت في صديقته Cindy Breakspeare*ولكن ليس هناك ما يؤكد ذلك بصورة قاطعة، بمثلما هو الحال مع اغنية Turn Your lights Down low.
    لقد تطرق الصحفي المدقق “Chris Salewicz” في سفره الرائع ( Bob Marley: The untold story ) إلى "أقاويل" نسبت أغنية Waiting in vain إلى سيندي، وحسب تلك المزاعم أن ريتا قد رفضت رفضاً قاطعاً أن تؤدي دور الإسناد الكورالي في ذلك الالبوم، وتحديداً في تلك الأغنية، ولكن تدخل عازف البيز آستون باريت ( The Family Man) قد أثناها عن عزمها.
    ولكن الشاهد أن ريتا* نفسها قد حكت تلك القصة من الألف إلى الياء ولكن بصورة مغايرة، حيث ذكرت أغنية أخرى، وهي أغنية " Turn Your Lights Down Low"، وأوضحت بأن التي أثنتها عن عزمها هي "مارثا غرافيث"، عضو الفرقة، وليس آستون باريت!
    وأغنية " Turn Your Lights Down Low"، واحده من أجمل ما صدح به بوب مارلي من أغان رومانسية، وقد تم تسجيلها في إلبوم Exodus.
    ويبدو أن بوب كان بوب يعيش حالة عشق وصبابة عنيفة، إذ لم يعرف عنه، في تلك الفترة على الأقل، التركيز كثيراً على الاغاني العاطفية، ولكنه في شريط Exodus تحديداً كتب وأدى ثلاث منها، وهو ما لم يفعله إلا في إلبوم KAYA عام 78 والاغاني هي:
    Turn Your Lights Down Low
    Waiting in Vain
    Three little Birds
