URGENT

Please bombard Sudan embassy with calls, faxes, emails and
snails to know the whereabouts of Mr. Abdalla Bashir (see Amnesty
International appeal below). He was detained for refusing to leave the
refugee camp and return his village for his strong believe of unsafe
conditions at home. He was detained by Security elements and went
'incommunicado' for more than 3 weeks. His lawyer has strong fears on
the fate of Mr. Bashir. Please contact the following staff of Sudan
Embassy in the US (who are in authority contact the Security HQ in
Khartoum) and request urgent information:

Please be informed that in response to Amnesty International call regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Abdalla Bashir I have contacted Sudan embassy today 08/24/2004 ,and I was unable to reach any official there, so I left the following message to his excel. Mr. ambassador :



" Ustaz Khidir Haroun , Elsalam alaikum wa rahmatullah, my name is Siddiq Abdulahdi Secretary of Group Against Torrute In Sudan, I am Calling you from Philadelphia , Pennsylvania, with reference to the issue of disappearance of Mr. Abdalla Bashir in Darfur, I would apppreciate if you could call me back at 215-668-7885. Thank you and Salam."
