المؤسسة الامريكية الافريقية لمناهضة التعذيب تدشن نشاطها باقيم نياجرا، كندا

تم تكوين فرع للمؤسسةالامريكية الافريقية لمناهضة التعذيب باقليم نياجرا بكندا في يونيو 2004، و الجدير بالذكر ان المكتب الرئيسي للمؤسسة تأسس في يناير 2001 بمدينة اسكنكتدي بولاية نيويوك في الولايات المتحدة الاميريكية.

تعمل المؤسسة في اطار فضح و مناهضة انتهاكات حقوق الانسان و كشف جرائم التعذيب و ملاحقة و محاكمة مرتكبيها و مساعدة و تأهيل الضحايا و اسرهم و تقديم المساعدات القانونية و عمل الابحاث و الدراسات المتخصصة في مجالات حقوق الانسان، و تباشر نشاطها في كل اقطار العالم و خاصة في الاقطار الافريقية و اقطار القارة الامريكية.

بدأ فرع المؤسسة باقليم نياجرا نشاطه بتقديم اربعة مذكرات حول الازمةالانسانية بدارفور الي كل من رئيس الوزراء الكندي، و وزير الخارجية الكندي، و المندوبة الكندية لشؤون السودان و عضو البرلمان الفدرالي عن مدينة سانت كاثرن باقليم نياجرا، وقعها رئيس المكتب الرئيسي للمؤسسة ابان حضورة تاسيس الفرع الجديد باقليم نياجرا.

The American African Foundation Against Torture (AAFAT) highly appreciates your efforts to end the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Darfur region that was torn apart by the bloody war that erupted in 2002

AAFAT also highly appreciates Canada’s active role in all human rights and peace matters and the generous welcoming of immigrants from all war crisis countries

The current crisis in Darfur is one of a chain of genocide crimes committed by the Sudanese government in Southern Sudan, Nuba Mountains, and Eastern Sudan since its military coup in 1989

The regime in Sudan is solely responsible for the killing of thousands and the displacement of more than a million from their villages and the gross violations of the human rights in western Sudan and other parts of the country

We do believe that the regime is not serious enough in ending this crisis. The airial bombardment and the government–backed militias systematically target the Fur populations on a daily basis. AAFAT expresses its grave concern for the wide spread of human rights violations and the ethnic cleansing and war crimes committed by the Sudanese government and the “Gingaweed” militias

AAFAT calls for Canada to initiate and support a U.N Security
Council resolution to adopt the following measures

Give an ultimatum of one month for the Sudanese government to end its military ground and airial operations

To immediately disarm the “Gingaweed” militias(3o provide secure passages for the flow of humanitarian supplies

To grant the NGO’s the freedom of movement to reach the displaced in their locations

To immediately set an Investigation Committee for facts findings to determine who is responsible for this crisis in Darfur, and to introduce those responsible for crime of war and genocide to International Courts

It is in AAFAT belief that reaching a lasting peaceful political solution in Sudan should involve the participation of all political and regional groups in Sudan
