Please join the NYC Jewish community to raise funds, discuss strategies for activism, and to reflect on Jewish issues raised by the ongoing crisis. All donations will benefit the American Jewish World Service's Sudan Relief and Advocacy Fund.
1:00 Opening Plenary
General information about the crisis and discussion of relevant Jewish perspectives will open the day. Zeinab Eyega of Sauti Yetu Center for African Women, Rabbi Daniel Landes of the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, and Catherine Shimony of the American Jewish World Service are among the many speakers.

In each learning session, eight classes will, respectively, address Judaic perspectives on the crisis.

The day will conclude with brief presentations by Marie Clarke Brill of Africa Action, and by Aaron Dorfman of the American Jewish World Service. Each speaker will reflect on the meaning of the day and discuss strategies for future activism.
