The problem was not with arabic language support in phpbb. They already have that enabled. Their problem was with the apache server as I said earlier.
Their server was set to send US english encoding in the header and this overrides any arabic setting in phpbb. The header sent by the server overrides any http header. Try it in you local server just add the line I provided above in httpd.conf in the
"Apache/conf" folder for windows or
"etc/httpd/conf/" folder for Lunix and you will see your site does not support arabic encoding any more. What I did is to
change the value above and then restart the server remotely, and this solved the problemThe template they had did not support the arabic patch provided by phpbb because the creator just stripped all that functionality so I just enabled some of that again from inside the template. In fact I redesigned the whole template system again to give it more appeal. However phpbb support arabic even without the patch.
