Why do girls ask this question? WHY ME

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is my personal observation, and I have developed the interest of getting to the root of this question. Please understand that this question is not often asked by all girls.

When no man appraoches them, they think they are not hot (beautiful), when they are approached, they ask this question:

Why me? (They can sometime expand it by saying: "There are a lot of other prettier girls in this school, workplace, etc".
