What is the average that one can budget for cooking at home buying all materials in the market for a family of four (two adults, two children). How much is 1USD or Euro at the Bank? I myself was born in Port Sudan many years ago and lived in the Country until I was 20 years old. I am European (Greek) and also my parents and one of my intentions is to eventually visit the Country I was born. I left the Sudan in 1970 and never been back there since. Just some indications:

1 US$= 2600 Sudanese Pounds (LS)
1 Euro= 3200 LS

4-room Appartment in Alriyadh or Al Amaraat(near the airport): about 1000000 LS per month (about 380 US$). Other areas might be much cheaper.
Same appartment furnished: add about a third more

Mitsubishi 4x4 ranges from 40 to 100 million pounds depending on model, condition and terms of payment

Benizine is sold per gallon (4.5 liters) one gallon is about 5000 pounds (differes per state and city)

Cooking at home is far more cheaper than eating at first class hotel-restaurants. Might cost between 20-50 thousands per day for a family of 4. In restaurants you pay between 10 to 50 thousands per meal (one person)

الايجار لشقه في المنطقه التي حددتها يكلف 2 مليون جنيه سوداني لشقه مفروشه. اذا كان المطلوب منزل بمواصفات جيده يكلف 3.5 الف دولار امريكي.

وجبه البوفيه المفتوع تكلف حوالي 60 الف جنيه للشحص الواحد و عموما تكاليف الاكل متفاوته حسب المطعم.

اسعار الماكولات , حضروات لحوم و خلافه زهيده جدا بالنسبه لشخص اوربي.
كيلو الضان ب 12 الف جنه سوداني اي حوالي 4ز6 دولار. حضروات ب 5 الف جنيه سوداني تكفي لاسبوع.

اسعار العربات مفهوم حسب الحاله . اذا المفصود عربه جديده فالمتسوبيشي بالمواصفات المطلوبه بحوالي 21-24 الف دولار قبل الجمارك.

الدولار يساوي حوالي 2600 جنيه سوداني.

هذه رغبة صادقة من شخص ولد وترعرع في جزء من السودان ولم ينسي بعد كل هذه السنوات التي ترك فيها البلاد أن يفكر بجد في أن يزور البلاد مرة أخرى وهو يسأل أسئلة مشروعة حتى يستطيع أن يقضي بعضاً من الوقت في الخرطوم في هدوء وراحة ولتكن سياحة تعيد إليه جزء من ذكرياته في هذا البلد ، فلنساعد السيد Nicos karydis في معرفة تكاليف المعيشة في الخرطوم هذه الأيام من سكن ومأكل ومشرب وخلافه. معاً لنجعل من زيارة نيكوس كارديس وأسرته للخرطوم زيارة تترك إنطباع جيد يمحو تلك الصور المأساوية التي عرفها العالم وبخاصة الغرب عن السودان في الفترات الأخيرة.
عن نفسي لا أستطيع المساعدة في تقدير تكاليف المعيشه وخلافه لوجودي خارج السودان وزياراتي السنوية مهما تكررت لن تعطي الصورة الحقيقة لأؤلئك الذين يعيشون في الداخل.
