Yes Steve Irwin is dead. He passed away on Monday morning. The ironic thing he was filming a documentary about the Ocean Deadliest living thing. I watched an interview with him the night before his death and he was talking about fear of him losing his father, but he passed away before him

It is even more ironic that during his life, he courted danger almost everyday .. and he enjoyed every bit of it
It is very sad to lose a wild-life icon who worked hard and even made a great breakthrough in saving many rare species from extinction

very sad news
I watched Irwin on Discovery several times, he seemed quite knowledgeable and had quite a presence with his Australian accent
It reminded me of the death of 'grizzly man' Treadwell at the claws and jaws of the grizzly bears that he loved the most. Very sad
