فاز فيلم (#شهداء_الخرطوم) بجائزة (آن-صوفي فونتين) لحقوق الإنسان للأفلام الوثائقية، ضمن فعاليات مهرجان الأفلام (فاست نت) الذي أقيم بمدينة سكل الايرلندية.
وفيلم “شهداء الخرطوم” من إنتاج وإخراج سايمون مورتا ومارك ميرفي؛ وهو يوثق لأحداث فض اعتصام القيادة العامة الذي جرى بمدينة الخرطوم يوم 3 يونيو 2019م.
ويعكس الفيلم جوانب مؤثرة من ملامح #ثورة_ديسمبر، ويورد إفادات 3 طبيبات من شهود العيان على تلك الجريمة البشعة.
وتمت مراسم منح الفيلم جائزة (آن-صوفي فونتين) لحقوق الإنسان للأفلام الوثائقية في احتفال توزيع الجوائز لمهرجان (فاست نت) للأفلام ، الذي أقيم بمدينة (سكل) الساحلية بغرب مقاطعة كورك بأيرلندا في يوم السبت 28 مايو 2022م.
وكان قد تم افتتاح المهرجان يوم الأربعاء 25 مايو؛ وتواصلت فعالياته حتى يوم الأحد 29 مايو، حيث تم عرض العديد من الأفلام القصيرة والمتنوعة لمنتجين ايرلنديين وعالميين كذلك.
ومهرجان (فاست نت) للأفلام القصيرة هو مهرجان مستقل، يهدف للجمع بين مخرجي الأفلام المحترفين والمبتدئين في منتدى يحتفي بالأفلام القصيرة.
ويشارك بالمهرجان سنوياً أكثر من 500 فيلم قصير، من أكثر من 40 دولة. وقد شارك بالاحتفال ممثلون لكلية لندن للاتصالات وجامعة الفنون -لندن . وشكل طلاب الدراسات العليا لجنة التحكيم لاختيار الفائز بالجائزة الخاصة بالأفلام الوثائقية لحقوق الإنسان، تكريما لذكرى إحدى خريجاتها (ان-صوفي فونتين).
وتضاف هذه الجائزة إلى سلسلة الجوائز الاخرى التي حصدها فيلم “شهداء الخرطوم” منذ تدشينه في يوليو 2021م، والتي من بينها (جائزة الفيلم التوثيقي المؤثر) ( Impact Docs Award)، وعدة جوائز اخرى.
ويعكس فوز فيلم (شهداء الخرطوم) بهذه الجائزة، الاهتمام و التقدير العالمي الواسع للثورة السودانية.
ويجيء توقيت الجائزة تزامنا مع الذكرى الثالثة لمجزرة فض اعتصام القيادة العامة في 3 يونيو 2019م.
ولم يتم حتى الآن تحقيق العدالة للضحايا، ولم تنشر أي نتائج للتحقيق في تلك الانتهاكات الجسيمة.

Sudanese Doctors Based in Ireland Share Their Testimonies of the Khartoum Massacre

The Irish Global Health Network hosted the online preview of a new short film by independent film-makers Simon Murtagh and Mark Murphy entitled: The Martyrs of Khartoum. The film details the story of three Irish-based Sudanese doctors, Sara Massawi, Sarah Khalifa and Rania Ahmed, and the roles they played to treat the injured during what has become known as the Khartoum Massacre in Sudan on 3rd June, 2019.
The film cannot be shared online as of yet, but this video contains the trailer and discussion that followed.
All three doctors risked their own lives by responding to an attack by security forces on young sit-in protesters in Khartoum, Sudan’s capital, that day. With death toll estimations in excess of 100 unarmed civilians, those killed were referred to as “martyrs” by their fellow protesters.
In this new short film, Sara, Sarah and Rania describe the dramatic events of that day, the unbreakable spirit of the protesters and their hopes for the future of Sudan.
Two of the doctors, Sara and Rania had just arrived to Sudan from Ireland shortly before the intensification of conflict which led to the bloodshed. The film begins on the morning they answered the emergency call from the Sudan Central Doctors’ Committee to rush to hospitals to treat the injured.
It features testimonies and footage of the three doctors detailing their personal accounts of events and how they themselves came under attack as they went about their work of treating the injured. The film describes the chaos of the attack, the subsequent medical response, the psychological effects on those involved - and the outstanding need for justice and accountability for the young protesters.
The Martyrs of Khartoum was given this preview screening by the Irish Global Health Network at 7pm on 2nd June, 2020 on the eve of the anniversary of the Khartoum Massacre. After the film, there was a discussion hosted by IGHN’s Nadine Ferris France and featuring Dr. Sara Massawi, one of the doctors in the film, along with Dr. Sulafa and Simon Murtagh.
The film is made by Simon Murtagh and Mark Murphy. Simon Murtagh is an independent producer who has worked on African political affairs and human rights causes throughout his career.
