استجاب أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ لدعوة رئيس المجلس المستشار عبد الوهاب عبد الرازق لعقد
جلسة طارئة لمتابعة تداعيات التصعيد العسكري في فلسطين، وقام المجلس بتنكيس أعلامه من
أعلى مقر المجلس حدادًا على القصف الإسرائيلي لمستشفى الأهلي المعمداني بقطاع غزة مما
أدى إلى مقتل مئات المدنيين الأبرياء وذلك تطبيقًا لقرار الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي
بإعلان حالة الحداد في البلاد حتى يوم الجمعة 20 أكتوبر تضامنًا مع الشعب الفلسطيني
الشقيق.
وقد صرح عدد من أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ بأنه من المقرر أن تشهد الجلسة الطارئة تفويض
نواب المجلس للرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي في اتخاذ كل ما يراه مناسبًا من قرارات وإجراءات
لتهدئة التصعيد العسكري في فلسطين وحماية الحدود المصرية والأمن القومي المصري بشكل
العام من تداعيات القتال في قطاع غزة.
كما أكدت وكيل لجنة الشئون الخارجية والعربية في مجلس الشيوخ الدكتورة سناء سليمان علي
أن الجلسة أساسها إعلان التفويض الكامل للرئيس المصري كما أنها سوف تكون تعبيرًا عن
آراء كافة أعضاء المجلس حول هذا العدوان والقرارات المرجو اتخاذها من قبل القيادة
السياسية.
وقد أشاد نائب مجلس الشيوخ أكمل نجاتي موقف القيادة السياسية المصرية مؤكدًا على أن
مجلس الشيوخ اليوم يمنح تفويضًا ودعمًا كاملًا لقرارات الرئاسة المصرية لمكافحة كافة
مخططات الحكومة الإسرائيلية في إزاحة وتهجير الشعب الفلسطيني خارج أراضيه، والجدير
بالذكر ان عدد من الجامعات المصرية مثل جامعة المنيا وجامعة الإسكندرية شهدت تظاهرات
شعبية تنديدًا بالعدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة ودعمًا لقرارات القيادة السياسية في تمسكها برفض
مخططات التهجير القسري لسكان القطاع.
وقد أدان الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي قصف مستشفى الأهلي المعمداني في المؤتمر
الصحفي الذي عقده صباح اليوم بعد اجتماعه مع المستشار الألماني أولاف شولتز مؤكدًا على
دعم الدولة المصرية الكامل لحقوق الشعب الفلسطيني والرفض التام لكل السياسات الهادفة
لتهجير سكان غزة إلي سيناء، ودعا إلي ضرورة حل الدولتين وإقامة دولة فلسطينية عاصمتها
القدس الشرقية لحل الصراع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي.




authorization of the Egyptian political leadership

The senators responded to the invitation of the council president, Counselor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek, to hold an emergency session to follow up on the repercussions of the military escalation in Palestine. The council flew his flags from the top of the council headquarters to mourn the Israeli bombing of Al-Ahly Baptists Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of hundreds of innocent civilians, in implementation of the decision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to declare a state of mourning in the country until Friday 20 October in solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people.

A number of senators stated that the emergency session is scheduled to witness the authorization of the deputies of the Council to President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to take all decisions and measures he deems appropriate to calm the military escalation in Palestine, protect the Egyptian borders and Egyptian national security in general from the repercussions of the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
The Undersecretary of the Foreign and Arab Affairs Committee in the Senate, Dr. Sana Suleiman Ali, confirmed that the session is based on the announcement of the full authorization of the Egyptian president, and it will be an expression of the views of all members of the Council on this aggression and the decisions to be taken by the political leadership.

A number of Egyptian universities, such as Minya University and Alexandria University, have witnessed popular demonstrations denouncing the Israeli aggression against Gaza and supporting the political leadership's decisions to reject the plans for the forced displacement of the Gaza population.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi condemned the bombing of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital in a press conference he held this morning after his meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Schultz, stressing the Egyptian state's full support for the rights of the Palestinian people and a complete rejection of all policies aimed at displacing Gaza residents into Sinai.
