The following dialog between him and the supervisor and the Director of Customs and Border Protection after he stay more than one month at new York city air port:
Supervisor: so Mr. Navorski , I have Avery good news for u
Navorski: what ?
Supervisor: I’ve figured out away to get u out of this air port
Navorski: how?
Supervisor: well we have laws here that protect Aliens. If we can establish this Fear with u. that can bring you to an immigration judge and let u plead your case for asylum. and then u be free to wait in New York until your court date.
Navorski: so I go to new York city to night?
Supervisor: yes, but u only get to go if we can establish a credible fear
Navorski: Fear from what
Supervisor: it doesn’t matter what you’re afraid of. It’s all the same to Uncle Sam. So I’m going to ask you one Question ?
Navorski: so I answer one question and go to New York city to night.
Supervisor: yes tonight
Navorski: ok (happy)
Supervisor: Do you at this time have any fear of returning to you’re own country?
Navorski: No (simply is that)
Supervisor: you’re country at war
Navorski: yes
Supervisor: there are men in the street with guns. Political persecution.
Navorski: yes it’s terrible
Supervisor: yeah it’s horrible . and god only knows what could happen. Innocent people are torn from their beds. and throw them to jail
Navorski: yes , yes
Supervisor: so you are afraid?
Navorski: from what?
Supervisor: Karkozhia
Navorski: Karkozhia . no , I am not afraid of Karkozhia I’m a little afraid of this Room
Supervisor: I’m talking about bombs, human dignity, human rights Navorski plsz don’t be afraid to tell me you’re afraid of Karkozhia
