إسرائيل تستعد لمواجهة تأثير نتائج تقرير حول تأثير اللوبي اليهودي على السياسة الأميركية

تلقت القيادة الاسرائيلية بقلق بالغ نتائج الدراسة التي أجراها عالمان أميركيان في جامعة هارفرد اشهر الجامعات الاميركية، قالا فيها ان اللوبي الاسرائيلي في الولايات المتحدة وعلى وجه الخصوص لجنة العلاقات العامة الاميركية الاسرائيلية «ايباك»، تدفع واشنطن للانحراف عن سياساتها الشرق اوسطية لصالح إسرائيل، جدلا واسعا بين انصار إسرائيل وخصومها في الولايات المتحدة. وتفيد الدراسة بان هذا اللوبي هو الذي دفع بالرئيس جورج بوش لاعلان الحرب على العراق وشن الحملة الواسعة ضد ايران وضد «حماس».
وتدرس وزارة الخارجية الاسرائيلية اعداد خطة لمجابهة تبعات هذه الدراسة والعمل على منع اجراء تغيير في السياسة الأميركية بسببها.

وكانت الدراسة قد نشرت يوم السبت الماضي في واشنطن وهي من اعداد البروفيسور ستيفن فولت، عميد كلية دراسات الحكم على اسم كندي في جامعة هارفرد، والبروفيسور جون مرشهايمر، من جامعة تشيكاغو، وهما من خيرة الباحثين في السياسة الدولية وعلوم الحكم والتخطيط الاستراتيجي في الولايات المتحدة. وحسب مصادر اسرائيلية مطلعة فإنهما يتمتعان بمصداقية عالية ولهما تأثيرا مباشرا على ألوف العلماء والدبلوماسيين الذين تخرجوا على أيديهما في الدراسة الجامعية. وجاءت الدراسة تحت عنوان «اللوبي الاسرائيلي والسياسة الدستورية في الولايات المتحدة»، وجاء فيها ان اسرائيل ومؤيديها في واشنط هم الذين والى حد كبير، يملون على الادارة الاميركية سياستها الخارجية ولا سيما سياستها الشرق اوسطية. وهو أمر كما يقول التقرير يتناقض كليا مع المصالح الأميركية. وأن اللوبي الاسرائيلي في الولايات المتحدة كان عنصرا حاسما في قرار الرئيس بوش للحرب في العراق وأن العداء الذي تكنه الحركات الاسلامية للولايات المتحدة والسمعة السيئة لأميركا في الشرق الأوسط ناجمان عن سياسة العلاقات المميزة للولايات المتحدة مع اسرائيل. ويشير التقرير بشكل خاص الى النفوذ الاسرائيلي الواسع في الكونغرس الأميركي. وقالت مصادر سياسة مطلعة في القدس المحتلة، أمس، ان مضمون هذه الدراسة يجب أن يقض مضاجع اسرائيل ويطير النوم من عينيها. إذ ان قيام باحثين كبيرين بهذا المستوى بنشر مثل هذه الاستنتاجات يدل على أن الكثير من ذوي الشأن في الولايات المتحدة يفكرون تجاه اسرائيل بهذه الطريقة ولكنهم يحبذون الصمت. بيد انهم في الحلقات المغلقة يتحدثون عن الموضوع بكثرة وبصراحة أكبر وبعداء أشد نحو اسرائيل. ويخشى الاسرائيليون من نتائج نشر مثل هذه الدراسة، واكثر ما يخشونه هو أن يبدأ الرئيس بوش في تغيير موقفه، حيث ان رفاقه في الحزب الجمهوري ليسوا معنيين بأن يتحول هذا الموضوع الى قضية مركزية في الانتخابات الأميركية المقبلة. لأن في ذلك حتما خسارة اعداد كبيرة من الأصوات. إذ ان الجناح المعتدل في الحزب الجمهوري يستعد لمهاجمة تيار قيادة بوش في الأشهر الأخيرة، ومثل هذا التقرير سيكون عنصرا اساسيا في المعركة الانتخابية.

It is just a coincident. I heard about those professors today while listening to talk radio. Certainly, I don't think that is going to rage Americans that much and have them oppose AIPAC or get their senators to vote against AIPAC's well. AIPAC has a membership through out the fifty states. Adding to that it is of the most powerful lobbies in the US. Interest groups do play vital roles shaping the US politics. And the key to influencing Capital Hill's decisions is via fund raising to elect senators. Once those senators get elected they will start the pay off voting for the well of those who brought them. With more than fifty years of existence AIPAC is able to fund many of these campaigns, and so get serviced. Now, it can work for middle easterners too. To succeed however, they must understand the game; because politics are games and the US politics is the most complicated one; especially when it comes to mobilizing Americans and the White House as a consequence.

Dear Fardouse and Elmoiz

Thanks for your interest in this issue which explained , at least to me,how the jewish state managed to secure the support of important allies like the USA for so long. The lobbying for Arab/Moslim causes sould have been easier for their just cause, but it is all about effective campaigning and PR skills which the jewish seem to be good at.The Arabs are more than capable to "buy" such services but they are busy buying other things!! Also, in my opinion Jews are better assimilated in USA and Western societies generally, while the Arab and Moslim live on the margin of those societies.

I concur to the conclusion you have drawn and that is exactly what I referred to as the political game
that Jews excelled in playing to promote their agenda

I do, however, admire the smartness of Jews putting marvelous strategic initiatives together and gaining allies. They know how much power they have and how much support they can gain using idiotic acts by Muslims, Ahmed Inejad Iran's president is an example

I will scrutinize approaches used by the Muslim world and Israel from my perception. Methods used and which attained best results, provided that religion is factored out of the context. I will address the following points

Is religion part of the conflict as some have claimed? And which side may the West have swung to if in fact it is part of the clash I will write a short review about Mill Gibson's Passion of the Christ and its controversy. This will lead us to the next point, the media

Without exaggeration I will pay a closer look at the domination Jews exercise in shaping the public opinion using the media

Chronologically, examining the relationship (alliance-wise) between Israel and the US and resolved tensions

The Holocaust card, how effective it is and again the media role citing the recent British historian David Irving pressed charges for denying the Holocaust
