JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE Quality Assurance Engineer

DIVISION Quality Assurance & Control

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The QA Engineer has the responsibility and authority of the following:

a) Interact with all personnel who manage, perform and verify work-affecting quality.
b) Prevent the occurrence of product and process non-conformity.
c) Identify and record any product and process quality problem.
d) Recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.
e) Verify the implementation of solutions.
f) Control further processing, delivery on installation of non-conforming product, until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
g) Continuous improvement in internal QA system for day to day testing stage. I.e. from Raw material - dispatch.
h) Application of statistical techniques at different stages of testing from Raw material to dispatch.

ACCOUNTABILITY Reporting to Manager Quality Assurance & Control.

REPORTING PERSONNEL

To achieve primary purpose stated above, QA Engineer is assisted by the following personnel’s:

1) Supervisors
2) Inspectors
3) Lab Technicians
4) Testers

SUPPORTING TASK
1) Responsible for customer pre-shipment inspection activities.
2) Disposal of rejected material-clearance.
3) Interacting outside agencies like BSI, ASTM…. etc to update technical information.
4) Assist in development activities.

QUALIFICATION
· B.Sc. degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
· Min 5 years experience in Cable Industry.
· Knowledge in ISO 9001:2000 QMS is advantageous.
· Knowledge of Handling Customer Pre-shipment inspection & it’s specification requirement
