أعلن وزير الدفاع الأمريكي جيمس ماتيس، انتهاء الهجمات على سوريا، وأنه لا خطط لدى الولايات المتحدة لشن هجمات إضافية في الوقت الحالي على سوريا.

وقال ماتيس للصحفيين: "في الوقت الحالي لا نخطط لهجمات إضافية، والهجمات القادمة ستكون في حالة عودة الأسد لاستخدام الأسلحة الكيميائية".

وتابع: "الهدف من الضربات إضعاف القدرات العسكرية السورية على صنع الأسلحة الكيميائية".

وأضاف: "استخدمنا (في الضربة) ضعفي الأسلحة التي استخدمناها العام الماضي (في الهجوم على الشعيرات)، والضربة كانت قوية".

من جانبه، قال رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة في القوات المسلحة الأمريكية الجنرال جوزيف دانفورد: "في الوقت الحالي انتهى القصف على سوريا".

فيما نقلت وكالة "فرانس برس"، عن جنرال أميركي قوله إن "الضربات في سوريا كانت مركزة لتجنب استهداف القوات الروسية".

وشنت الولايات المتحدة وبريطانيا وفرنسا هجوما على سوريا صباح اليوم السبت، حيث سقطت عشرات الصواريخ على مناطق عدة في محافظتي دمشق وحمص.

كشفت وزارة الدفاع الروسية عن أن الدفاعات الجوية السورية أسقطت 71 صاروخا من أصل 103، مشيرة إلى أن موسكو ستعيد بحث إمكانية تسليم سوريا صواريخ "إس 300" على خلفية هذا العدوان.

وذكرت وزارة الدفاع الروسية، أن الأراضي السورية تعرضت فجر اليوم لقصف صاروخي غربي امتد من تمام الساعة الـ3 و42 دقيقة فجرا، وحتى الـ10 و5 صباحا دقائق بتوقيت العاصمة السورية دمشق.

وأشارت إلى أنه شاركت في القصف طائرات أمريكية من طرازات B-1B، وF-15 ،F-16، معززة بطائرات "تورنادو" البريطانية فوق البحر المتوسط، وسفينتا "لابون" و"مونتيري" الأمريكيتان من البحر الأحمر.

وأكدت وزارة الدفاع الروسية أن المعتدين أمطروا سوريا بـ103 صواريخ مجنحة بما فيها "توما هوك" التي أطلقت من السفن الحربية، والقنابل الجوية من نوع GBU-38 التي أسقطتها طائرات B-1B، فيما أطلقت طائرات F-15 وF-16 الأمريكية صواريخ "جو-أرض"، والطائرات البريطانية 8 صواريخ من نوع Scalp EG.

ولفتت الوزارة إلى أن قوات الدفاع الجوي السوري تمكنت من اعتراض وإسقاط 71 صاروخا باستخدام منظومات "إس-125" و"إس-200" و"بوك" و"كفادرات" و"اوسا".

الفريق سيرغي رودسكوي رئيس غرفة العمليات في هيئة الأركان الروسية، قال في إطار الإيجازات الصحفية التي تصدرها وزارة الدفاع الروسية تباعا: "طورنا منظومة الدفاع الجوي السورية، وسنعود إلى تطويرها بشكل أفضل".

وأضاف: "المواقع التي تم تدميرها في سوريا كانت مدمرة أصلا"، مشيرا إلى أن البيانات الروسية تؤكد "عدم مشاركة الطيران الفرنسي في العدوان على سوريا".

وأكد، أن روسيا أعادت تأهيل كامل منظومة الدفاع الجوي السورية، ومستمرة في تطويرها.

الدفاعات السورية شكلت قبّة منيعة حمت جميع المطارات

وذكرت وزارة الدفاع الروسية بالتفصيل عدد الصواريخ التي أطلقها المعتدون، وسمّت جميع المواقع المستهدفة، مشيرة إلى أن كافة المطارات السورية المستهدفة لم تتعرض لأي أذى يذكر، وهي:

المطار الدولي بـ4 صواريخ أسقطت جميعها.

مطار ضمير العسكري بـ12 صاروخا، أسقطت جميعها.

مطار بلي العسكري جنوب شرقي دمشق بـ18 صاروخا أسقطت جميعها.

مطار شعيرات العسكري بـ12 صاروخا أسقطت جميعها.

مطار المزة 9 صواريخ تم إسقاط 5 منها.

مطار حمص بـ16 صاروخا تم تدمير 13 منها دون أضرار جدية في الموقع.

كما تعرضت منطقتا برزة وجمرايا للقصف بـ30 صاروخا تم إسقاط 7 منها.

وأكدت وزارة الدفاع الروسية أن هذا القصف لم يكن ردا على الهجمة الكيميائية المزعومة، بل رد فعل على نجاحات الجيش السوري في تحرير أراضي بلاده من الإرهاب الدولي.

دعنى اقول لك من بيروت ومن مقابلتى للعائدين من سوريا صباح اليوم ان الضربات كانت محدوده للغايه وفعلا شوهدت عشرات الصواريخ السوريه بالعين المجرده تطلق فى السماء فى دمشق.
استطيع القول ان خيارات اميركا فى سوريا محدوده وليس من بينها اسقاط النظام مهما كابر ترمب. لاحظ تصريح تريزا ماى.
