وضع المنتدى الاقتصادي العالمي، ومقره في جنيف، تصنيفا للدول الآمنة على مستوى العالم بالنسبة للسياح، استنادا إلى بيانات الإرهاب وأعمال العنف.

وبحسب التقرير الصادر عن المنتدى، فإن اليمن وكولومبيا والسفادور هم أخطر الدول في العالم بالنسبة للسياحة، فيما جاءت مصر في المرتبة 130 من بين 136 دولة.

وجاء في المركز الأول فنلندا، وفي المركز الثاني دولة الإمارات العربية، ثم أيسلندا، عمان، هونج كونج، سنغافورة، النرويج، سويسرا، رواندا.

وعربيا جاءت المغرب في المرتبة 20 والأردن 38 والسعودية 61 ولبنان في المرتبة 125. فيما حلت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في المرتبة 84، فيما جاءت تركيا في المرتبة 125.

جدير بالذكر أن المنتدى الاقتصادي الدولي هو منظمة دولية غير ربحية مستقلة. تأسست على يد أستاذ الأعمال كلاوس شواب عام 1971 في كولوجني التابعة لجنيف في سويسرا كما افتتحت في عام 2006 مكاتب إقليمية في العاصمة الصينية بكين ونيويورك في الولايات المتحدة.
