guys i have EXCELLENT news

wafooya thank you loads

wafa2 is based in sudan, she holds the national statistics for kidney failure patients
and is key mediator in collaborative work between renal physicians and medical equipment companies

kidney disease ya jama3a is so common in sudan you won't believe it - will bring on some stats soon
to date the only service we had was dialysis

Dialysis is an invasive procedure and reserved to End-stage Kidney failure patients and those awaiting kidney transplant
it incurs significant shifts in fluids and encroaches on stability of blood pressure
it requires transfer of a critically-ill patient who A) cannot tolerate it and B) a transfer from intensive care to the dialysis unit involving GREAT risk/possible DEATH
and C an ENOURMOUS burden on the service to the dialysis-dependent out-patient community

you have read news on difficulties
meeting the needs of kidney failure patients
malfunction of equipment, maintenance issues, shortage of accessories and dialysis fluid often also therapy for kidney transplant patients etc
PEOPLE ARE DYING IN SUDAN BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF FILTRATION IN ICU'S

we now have a company called GAMBRO that has been doing GREAT work of late introducing kidney filtration to
intensive care units in khartoum with excellent patient outcomes

this is FANTASTIC news

This is a duty call and DESPERATE PLEA to overseas doctors and nurses around the globe to help us out run training workshops and lectures in Khartoum - capital of Sudan this year (2014) on dates that will be to hand soon

the lectures and workshops will address
Renal physiology
Pathophysiology of Renal Disease
Current Treatments

Workshops will focus on
Strategies of Renal Filtration
Ultrasound-guided insertion and aftercare of Vascular Catheters
Interpretation of Biochemical, Immunological and Radiological findings
A call out to radiologists to coach on renal imaging
dr_moe if you're reading

Please HELP Sudanese patients survive Acute Kidney Injury

!
wafooya will look into helping out with journey expenses

I'm in the process of contacting the sudanese doctors society in uk and ireland for HELP
