لماذا وصف الانجليز أهل شرق السودان ب " الفزاويز "

رغم ان (فازي وازي ) Fuzzy Wuzzy هي لفظة تعتبر الآن عنصرية الا ان الشاعر كبلنغ - روديارد كبلنغ- استخدم تلكم العبارة ليبين شجاعة اهلنا البجا المنضويين تحت لواء المهدي انذاك.
القصيدة نشرت عام 1892 وفي مجلمها يمكن ان تكون بمثابة تحذير للناس من الاستهانة باي شخص حتى ولو كان شكله الخارجي لا يوحي باي قوة وربما الخصها في مقولة ( يوضع سرو في اضعف خلقو ).
القصيدة كانت فريدة في نوعها لان الشاعر استخدم لهجة محلية ( لهجة الكوكني ) وهي لهجة اهل لندن من جهة ايست اند East End> وتعتبر هذه المنطقة هي المنطقة التي تسكنها الطبقة العاملة. في تناوله لهذا الموضوع بهذه اللهجة المحلية اراد كبلنغ ان يلفت نظر
العامة لما يحدذ لجنودهم وقواتهم في السودان .
تتركز القصيدة في عرض كيف ان البجا يحسنون الدفاع عن النفس وكيف انهم استطاعو اختراق الطابور العسكري او المربع الانجليزي العسكري الشهير ( مربع المشاة الانجليزي الشهير ) مرتين بقيادة البطل عيمان دقنة في معركتي طماي وابو طليح.
