رائدة الفضاء الهندية "سونيتا ويليامز" (المولودة في 17 سبتمبر 1965 ) أعلنت إسلامها مباشرة إثر وصولها إلى الأرض بعد بقائها 167 يوما بالفضاء برفقة أربعة من أفراد الطاقم . ويعود سبب هذا القرار إلى أنها أثناء تواجدها على القمر ومراقبتها للارض كانت كلها مظلمة بإستثناء منطقتين كانتا تشعان ضوءا ونورا ...فصدمت آنذاك لرؤية هذا المنظر خاصة بعد أن علم افراد الطاقم ان هاتين المنطقتين هما المدينة المنورة ومكة المكرمة...كما صرحت أن كل ترددات الصوت غير مسموعة إلا ذبذبات الآذان .

Conclusion: We have learned that Sunita Williams is not the first woman of Indian ethnicity to fly in space, and that she did not go to the moon. She also believes Lord Ganesha was looking after her in space, and even her visit to India upon her return to earth coincided with the Ganesh celebrations. After looking at the facts, we can rightly conclude that their is no evidence whatsoever to back up the claim that Sunita Williams, or any of the other unspecified individuals ever agree to convert to Islam upon their return to earth. When setting off toward the International Space Station, Williams had taken with her a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and a small statue of Lord Ganesha, and following [red/]her return to earth on June 22, 2007, she showed no signs of having converted to Islam.In fact, she claimed Lord Ganesha was looking after her. هل انت جادي يا اخ عبد الرحمن عندما نقلت هذا الكلام؟

اذكر, فى ثمانينات كان فى خبر من نفس نوع عن اسلام امسترونق, اول واحد ينزل القمر و قيل انه اسلم لانه سمع آذان هناك و هو على سطح القمر. طبعا كان كذب.
قبل ثلاثة ايام شاهدت ربيع عبدالعاطى يستشهد ببرنارد شاو فى مقولة شهيرة منسوبة اليه بان "العالم احوج الى محمد" و الان نعرف ان شاو قال حجات ما كويسة خالص عن الاسلام.
الشعور بالدونية فى المجتمعات العربية تجاه الغرب عموما هو سبب كل هذه الظاهرة.

أعتذر أنني نقلت خبرا غير صحيح، نقلا عن أخ كريم أخبرني بهذه المعلومة قبل يومين و قد بحثت على عجل في النت فوجدت العديد من المواقع تضع بالإنجليزية خبر تحول رائدة الفضاء سونيتا ويليامز إلى الإسلام ثم وجدته في موقع عربي فنقلته، بعد أن قرأت تعليقات الأخوة المتداخلين لهم مني الشكر على ما أوردوه راجعت المكتوب بالتفصيل و تبينت أنني كنت مخطئا، و خاصة بعد أن شاهدت هذا الفيديو و فيه تتحدث سونيتا ، حيث لم تذكر شيئا عن رؤيتها للكعبة المشرفة أو المسجد النبوي الشريف مضيئان من الفضاء الخارجي.

لم أقصد أن أكذب على أحد، و لا شك عندي أن الإسلام لا يحتاج لمعجزة خارقة ليهتدي به أحد، فهو أمر فطري و هداية ربانية من رب العالمين.
و بما اني بالخطأ قد أخبرت عن إسلام السيدة سونيتا ويليامز فإني أضيف أن ذلك ليس بأمر مستحيل و أسأل الله العلي القدير أن يهديها لنعمة الإسلام أنه سميع قريب مجيب الدعاء
