منظمة العفو الدولية تدعو للتضامن مع جليلة خميس كوكو

أطلقت منظمة العفو الدولية (امنستي) أمس 16 مارس حملة للمطالبة باطلاق سراح الناشطة الأستاذة جليلة خميس كوكو .
وجليلة معلمة وناشطة مدنية وعضو بالحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان .
وكانت مجموعة من عناصر جهاز الأمن طوقت منزل الأستاذة جليلة بالشجرة بالخرطوم واعتقلتها في حوالي الثانية صباح 15 مارس بملابس نومها .
ودعت منظمة العفو الدولية للكتابة للمسؤولين الحكوميين للمطالبة باطلاق سراح جليلة ، ولضمان عدم تعذيبها أو اساءة معاملتها ، والسماح لها بمقابلة أسرتها ومحاميها وحصولها على العناية الطبية التي تحتاجها .

Amnesty International Urges Sudan to Release Detained Teacher

Koko was two days ago taken from her home by a group belonging to Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Service, Amnesty International said in an e-mailed statement yesterday.

The SPLM-N, banned in Sudan, was the northern branch of South Sudan’s ruling party before it became a separate group following the south’s independence.

Nuba Mountains Female Activist Arrested اعتقال معلمة وناشطة من جبال النوبة

March 16, 2012--At 1 am on Wednesday 14 March 2012, a teacher and activist from the Nuba Mountains named Jalila Khamis Koko was arrested from her home in Al Shajara, Khartoum. The 43-year-old woman is an active member of the SPLM-N and a candidate for upcoming elections.

Earlier that night, at 10:30 pm, a patrol car was spotted not far from Jalila’s house by the youth of the family who often camp outside the house to sleep given their large number (around 14 of Jalila’s sons and nephews, age varying between 14 and 24). The car stood there for half an hour before departing.

The same car came back again around 1 am. The youth, who were asleep, were awakened by the sound of the car pulling over and unidentified men approaching the house. They threatened those of them who woke up, saying they will shoot them if they don’t go back to sleep.

The six men knocked on the door and Jalila opened it. They then took her to the car, ignoring the fact that she was wearing her night clothes. Her 17-year-old son begged and pleaded for them to let his mother take a change of clothes, but he was threatened with weapon. By the time she was accompanied to the car, her husband had just woken up and realized his wife was gone. He chased the car but to no avail. All this occurred in the course of a few minutes.

On Wednesday morning, Jalila’s husband Mohamed Ali Ghabboush headed to Al Shajara police station and filed a kidnap case. The head of prosecution gave him a copy of the form (attached) and asked him to distribute it around police stations. He then told him that these abduction cases are common, and are often performed by individuals from Southern Sudanese origins.

The next day, on Thursday 15 March 2012, Mahmoud received a call from the NISS informing him that his wife is in custody at the NISS headquarters in Khartoum North. They asked him to come in and bring in a change of clothes for her. Upon his arrival, they received the clothes from him, but also interrogated him from 10 am until 6 pm. They questioned him about his involvement with his wife’s work among other accusations.

He was told the reasons behind Jalila’s arrest are two:

1- Communicating with Nazik Kabalo whom they are monitoring. She had called previously and asked Jalila for a list of names of IDPs as she was working on getting them aid.

2- Communicating with the international community; namely the Spanish Embassy. Jalila and Mahmoud had visited the Spanish Ambassador a while ago, who was offering aid for IDPs and they were able to link him with them.

This marks Jalila’s first arrest.



في الواحدة صباحاً يوم الأربعاء 14 مارس 2012، تم اعتقال معلمة وناشطة من جبال النوبة تدعى جليلة خميس كوكو من داخل منزلها بالشجرة. جليلة، ذات ال43 عاماً، عضو فعال بالحركة الشعبية-شمال ومرشحة لانتخابات مقبلة.

في العاشرة والنصف مساء ذاك اليوم شوهدت سيارة دورية قرب منزل جليلة من قبل شباب الأسرة الذين ينامون بالخارج نسبة لعددهم الكبير (14 من أبناء و أبناء أشقاء/شقيقات جليلة تتراوح أعمارهم بين 14 و24). وقفت السيارة لمدة 30 دقبقة قبل المغادرة.

نفس السيارة عادت مجدداً حوالي الواحدة صباحاً. الشباب استيقظوا بصوت السيارة وأشخاص يترجلون منها ويقتربون من باب المنزل، هددوهم باستخدام السلاح إذا لم يعودوا للنوم.

6 أشخاص طرقوا الباب وجليلة فتحته. أخذوها إلى السيارة من دون مراعاة أنها كانت ترتدي ملابس النوم. ابنها ذو ال17 عاماً توسل أن يتركوها تغطي نفسها ب”توب” لكنهم رفضوا وهددوه بالسلاح. في الوقت الذي اطحبت فيه جليلة إلى السيارة، استيقظ زوجها من النوم ليجد أن زوجته اختطفت في غضون دقائق. حاول اللحاق بالسيارة ولكن بدون فائدة.

في صباح الأربعاء، ذهب محمد علي غبوش زوج جليلة إلى قسم شرطة الشجرة كي يفتح بلاغ عن اختطاف زوجته. وكيل النيابة أعطاه نسخة من النشرة الجنائية (مرفقة) وطلب منه أن ينشرها في أقسام الشرطة. أفاده أن حالات الاختطاف هذه أصبحت منتشرة، مشيراً أنها عادة ما تكون من فعل أشخاص من جنوب السودان.

في اليوم التالي، الخميس 15 مارس 2012، تلقى محمود مكالمة هاتفية من جهاز الأمن وقالوا له أن زوجته محتجزة بمقر جهاز الأمن ببحري. طلبوا منه أن يحضر لها ملابس. عند وصوله، سلم الملابس وقاموا باستجوابه من الساعة 10 صباحاً وحتى 6 مساء. استجوبوه عن علاقته بنشاطات زوجته بالإضافة إلى اتهامات أخرى.

أفادوه أن أسباب اعتقال جليلة هم اثنان:

1- التواصل من نازك كبلو التي هم يراقبونها. كانت قد اتصلت بجليلة سابقاً وطلبت منها كشفاً بأسماء النازحين حتى توفر لهم المعونة.

2- التواصل مع المجتمع الدولي وبلأخص السفارة الأسبانية. جليلة ومحمود كاموا قد زاروا السفير الأسباني قبل فترة، وهو كان سيقدم المعونة للنازحين وهم كانوا سيوصولونه بهم.

يمثل هذا أول اعتقال لجليلة
