Quote: Violations in the Nuba Moutains Sunday, March 4, 2012 11:29 AM On Saturday 3rd March 2012 at 2:00pm a group of 80 members of the popular Defence Forces (BDF) attacked the market in the small town of Machamshaka , which lays on the road between Abu Karshola and the Rashad ( the capital of Rashad Locality), Sunday is usually the market day in Machamshaka, the PDF group looted the market confiscating mobiles phones , money and others goods and they arrested around 30 men mainly from the tribe of Tagois , Torchok and Tokom, and took them to Abu Karshola ( the administrative unit)where they have been torture , and some of them left bleeding Until this evening Sunday 4th March 15 some of them still in detention in Abu Karshola there are: 1- Osman Al Amin AL Basha 2- Omer Mohamed Omer Abdel alla 3- Abdelalla Abdel Rahim Mohamed Arbab 4- Ismail Mohamed 5- Rajib Adam Dawood 6- Jalia Dawood Idris 7- Yagoup Omer 8- Abdel Manan Younis 9- Musa Hassan 10- Adam Hamid Ismail 11- Yagob Ahmed Al Tajani 12- Issa Al Tom ( left bleeding) 13- Taha Omer Issa ( left bleeding) 14- Ali Omer Abdel Karim 15- Ahmed Adam Haroun The following have been arrested tortured and released today 4th March 2012: 1- Hayder Al Nur Issa 2- Suliman Yagoub 3- Absdel Mahoumd Musa Mahoud 4- Najim Al Din Omer Nawia 5- Mohamed AL Haj Hassan 6- Mohamed Adam Abu Sait 7- Ahdel Azim Al Modir Omer 8- Adam Al Nur Idris 9- Musa Adam Al Nur 10- Issa Musa Issa 11- Omer Younis 12- Idris Al Nur 13- Al Tom Hassan Idris The attackers are PDF member from three areas: a- Abu Karshola b- Umbarmbita c- Al Fayed Umm Abdalla, they arrived with Motor Bikes, the leaders of the PDF are: 1-Ahmed Ali Gama (Um Kobok) from AL Fayed Umm Abdalla 2-Haj Al Nur Nawia 3- Issawi 4- Marwan. This trend of attacks are well organised as the same groups attacked some Gold miners in Jabal Abu Sinina near Machamshaka two weeks ago and left 4 dead and more 15 serious injured. Since start of the war in South Kordofan June 2011, the PDF elements representing the major threat for the unarmed civilian, they are the cause of most of displacement in the eastern part of South Kordofan as they act like bandits , and that represented major threat to peace in the area.
