تحدث اليوم كبير اساقفة كانتربري روان وليامز بطلب من القساوسة السودانيين الموجودين فى مدينة كادوقلي

للسيد وليام هيغ وزير الخارجية البريطاني وابلغه بتطورات الاوضاع فى جنوب كردفان بعد احراق الكاتدرايئة الانجلكانية

الجديده فى كادوقلي وقال فى بيان صدر كبير الاساقفة روان وليامز اليوم الثلاثاء هنا فى لندن :

اننا نأسف لمستوى تصاعد العدوان والعنف وسفك الدماء والعنف العشوائي من جانب القوات الحكومية ضد المدنيين في ولاية جنوب كردفان ".

واضاف البيان :

"هذا العنف يشكل تهديدا كبيرا لاستقرار السودان خاصة وان دولة جديدة في جنوب السودان فى طريقهاالى حيز الوجود" .

ودعا الحكومة البريطانية ومجلس الامن الدولي والاتحاد الاوربي والجامعه العربية والاتحاد الافريقي لضمان وصول المساعدات الانسانية للمحتاجين

وضمان سلامة المواطنين وابلغ كبير الاساقفة عن احراق الكاتدرائية الانجليكانية الجديده فى كادقلي وعن عمليات القتل الوحشية .


ومن جهته ادان وزير الخارجية البريطاني وليام هيغ فى تصريحات له من لاهاي تصاعد اعمال العنف فى جنوب كردفان وحزر من تحول جنوب كردفان الى دارفور جديده .
وقال وليام هيغ "هناك تقارير عن هجمات مستمرة على المدنيين وعمليات قصف جوي مروعه واننا ندين هذه الاعمال وان مايثير القلق
ايضا هو الحرمان من الحصول على المساعدات الانسانية من الوكالات العاملة فى المنطقة "
ودعا الوزير وليام هيغ كل الاطراف الى وقف الاعمال العدائية فورا وحزر الخرطوم من عدم التزامها بحماية المدنيين

Quote: Britain on Tuesday condemned the “shocking and disturbing” escalation of violence in central Sudan as the head of the Anglican church warned it could become “another Darfur”. Foreign Secretary William Hague said he was “deeply concerned” at reports of attacks in the country's Abyei and Southern Kordofan regions. “Reports of ongoing attacks on civilians and aerial bombardments are shocking and I condemn all such actions,” Hague said in a statement. “Equally disturbing is the denial of access to humanitarian agencies.” Hague responded after the United Nations said that Khartoum had stepped up air strikes in South Kordofan, the north's only oil-producing state which is on the south Sudan border, causing “huge suffering” to the civilian population. The SAF (Sudanese Armed Forces - northern army) denied it was targeting civilians, saying it was only targeting rebels, in unrest that comes just weeks before the south is due to win recognition as an independent state. The British minister warned Khartoum of its “obligation to protect civilians” and called on all parties to “cease hostilities immediately”. Earlier on Tuesday, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, the Anglican leader, cautioned that the region risked becoming “another Darfur” and urged international action. In a statement, Williams said he and other Christian leaders “deplore the mounting level of aggression and bloodshed in South Kordofan state and the indiscriminate violence on the part of government troops against civilians”. “This violence is a major threat to the stability of Sudan just as the new state of South Sudan is coming into being,” the archbishop added. “The humanitarian challenge is already great, and the risk of another Darfur situation, with civilian populations at the mercy of government-supported terror, is a real one.” Williams said the new Anglican cathedral in Kadugli had been burned down, and brutal killings had been reported. “International awareness of this situation is essential,” he said, urging the British government, the UN Security Council, the European Union, the Arab League and the African Union to guarantee humanitarian access and safety for citizens. - Sapa-AFP

Quote: قال الأسقف الكاثوليكي في ولاية جنوب كردفان الثلاثاء 14 يونيو ان القوات المسلحة تتعمد استهداف قبيلة النوبة، وحض الخرطوم على تحييد المدنيين. وقال الأسقف مكرم قسيس لوكالة (فرانس برس) في الخرطوم ( وفق معلوماتي، فان الرئيس عمر البشير أعلن الحرب على مجموعات النوبة) . وأضاف ( اذا كانوا يريدون مقاتلة الجيش الشعبي لتحرير السودان فليفعلوا. ولكن عليهم عدم المساس بالمدنيين ، لماذا استهداف نساء واطفال ومسنين؟) . وأوضح رأس الكنيسة الانغليكانية اسقف كانتربوري روان ويليامز الثلاثاء انه تم إحراق الكاتدرائية الجديدة في كادقلي عاصمة جنوب كردفان، محذرا من ان تؤدي أعمال العنف الى نشوء (دارفور جديد) . وتحدثت معلومات عن إحراق وتخريب كنائس أخرى ومقتل القس نميري فيليب. وتابع قسيس ان من يشنون هذه الهجمات ( يختبئون خلف الجهاد) ، وقال أيضا ( في كل مرة تقع أعمال عنف مشابهة، يقول (المهاجمون) ان أجانب والكنيسة يساعدون المتمردين. الكنيسة لا تحمل سلاحا. نريد فقط قول الحقيقة وحماية الأبرياء) . وأضاف ( بعد اتفاق السلام (العام 2005) حصلت تهدئة. اجتمعت العائلات مجددا وتطورت المنطقة. لكننا نعود إلى نقطة الصفر) .

Quote: The Anglican Alliance is co-ordinating with Anglican agencies to provide support for the Episcopal Church in Sudan during the current humanitarian crisis. More than 53,000 people have been driven from their homes, numerous villages have been bombed, and government troops have used indiscriminate violence against civilians, in the run-up to the secession of south Sudan. In response to the atrocities, Episcopal Relief and Development, the Primates World Relief and Development Fund and the Anglican Board of Mission set up rapid response funds working with the Episcopal Church of Sudan. Other agencies and dioceses do not have formal funds, but have close and long-standing links with Sudan and are also giving support. In discussion with the agencies, the Anglican Alliance will be providing co-ordination to ensure that the needs of the church in Sudan are met. It will also be providing support for advocacy so the atrocities in Sudan remain on the public agenda. Sally Keeble, Anglican Alliance director said: "People across the Communion have been horrified at the suffering of people in Sudan as a result of the persistent and brutal violence of government troops. The church in Sudan has appealed for help for the victims of the violence, and the Alliance will act to make the aid as effective as possible. We also need to ensure that the international community acts to stop the government of Sudan from acting with complete impunity against civilians."[/B]
