Dear Elshami. I just read your comment . I am really concerned that somebody is trying to get money out of you. Be very careful. I have been in the US since 96. The federal government never asks anybody to send money orders through western union. Furthermore, any check or money order to any branch of the federal government is usually payable and written to the US treasury and never to a specific person. While they will ask you to pay a fee, but this is accompanied by a detailed form you have to fill, then a meeting will be arranged at the US embassy, used to be Cairo, but now I think it would be in Khartoum. The official will talk to you, review the application. Paying the fees is the last step. If you are still in doubt, you can contact the embassy either directly or by phone. By the way, the official lottery results usually are know by May-June and not April. You can also go to the UD department of home land security and get more details about this.

I just looked at the official web site. http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ Click on that link. If you have applied for the 2011 (2009 applicants) you can follow the instructions, put your confirmation number and check your status. As for the 2012 (those who applied last year), it is still too early and you have to wait till may.

اولا في الموقع الالكتروني للوتري تم التوضيح انه فرز الطلبات سيتم في شهر مايو يعني التوقع يكون خلال هذا الشهر الي شهر سبعة وممكن تتوقع الي ثلاثة اربعة شهور قادمة

ثانيا لا يمكن ان يطلب من اي شخص قدم للوتري تحويل اموال عن طريق الصرافات او ارقام يالبنوك الدفع يتم في سفارة بلدك او المكان الذي تقيم فيه ويتم التسليم مباشرة من شباك داخل السفارة في نفس اليوم الذي اعطي لك للمعاينة

ثالثا هناك اجراءات تسبق الدفع وهي الكشف الطبي واجراءات الفيش وما الي ذلك

16. HOW WILL SUCCESSFUL ENTRANTS BE SELECTED?
At the KCC, all entries received from each region will be individually numbered. After the end of the registration period, a computer will randomly select entries from among all the entries received for each geographic region. Within each region, the first entry randomly selected will be the first case registered; the second entry selected the second registration, etc. All entries received during the registration period will have an equal chance of being selected within each region. When an entry has been selected, the entrant will be notified of their selection through the Entry Status Check available from May 1, 2011 on the E-DV website www.dvlottery.state.gov. The KCC will continue to process the case until those selected to be visa applicants are instructed to appear for visa interviews at a U.S. consular office or until those qualifying to change status in the United States apply at a domestic USCIS office.
