الدور الرئيسي للإتحاد خلق ارضية لصوت السائقين و الميكانيكية المحليين الذين طردوا خارج سوق القيادة من قبل السائقين الأجانب

يستنكر الاتحاد توظيف السائقين الأجانب من قبل الهيئات والمنظمات الدولية بل حتى من قبل بعض الوزراء في حكومة الجنوب

Quote: Indigenous set gear against foreign drivers: South Sudan Juba, Sudan - (Borglobe) - Southern Sudanese local drivers and mechanics have announced an association in a reprisal move aimed at dislodging foreign drivers out of the local driving market. The Southern Sudanese Drivers and Mechanics Association, formed in 2006 and implemented in 2009, said yesterday its major role is to "create ground ground for voice of local drivers and mechanics", who are driven off the driving field by foreign drivers. The Managing Director said he was part of the drivers team prevented by Kenyan atuthorites to drive some oral trucks to southern Sudan in 2006, with Kenyan authorities saying their country law does not permit foreign drivers from driving in the country. Kenyan Key Transporters drove the vehicles to Nadapal, a border town with Kenya. "We want to behave like those associations. Our role is to question government of not employing endigenous drivers instead of foreign drivers", he said. The association cited UNDP, UNMIS and Kenya Commercial Bank among the organisations that continue to employ foreigners in positions that many unemployed indegenoius could hold, rendering local drivers rendundant. "I got foreign drivers even driving foreign vehicles. You can find a big minister driven by foreigners", he stated. "Go to KCB, you will get foreign drivers. Go outside and see if there are foreigners working in banks. You will not see", he added. In this parked press conference held yesterday at SPLM hall, the manager of association said the driving licences would be checked and only those with indigenous identification would be allowed to drive. “Most of the accidents are caused by foreign drivers", he said, affirming that the traffic police are getting many claims from owners of vehicles driven by drivers who cause accidents and run to their home countries. The association wondered why, in other countries like Kenya, foreigners are not allowed to drive, and why it is that in Sudan they drive even big bosses in the government. The association said this will not be encouraging in Southern Sudan: those who will be driving are “Sid Belad” permitted by SSADM association and will be qualified drivers. The aim of the association is to employ Southern Sudanese who are knowledgeable in either driving or mechanic.The manager appealed to the drivers and mechanics in Southern Sudan to put more effort so as to save the lives of their people

حقيقية اعجبني حماسهم خاصة وان اعلانهم جاء من مقر الحركة الشعبية
الجنوب موعود بمستقبل زاهر يتيح فرص عمل لقطاعات واسعة من الشباب بمختلف مهنهم

أتمنى أن تعول حكومته على إستيعابهم وتفتح الطريق امام الاجانب اذا دعت الضرورة
