أطلق لاجئ سوداني النار على ثلاثة أشخاص في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية قبل أن يضع حداً لحياته بإطلاق النار على نفسه بولاية نبراسكا. وذكرت وكالة أسوشيتد برس أمس أن أكوتش كاشولا البالغ من العمر (26) عاماً المنحدر من جنوب السودان فتح النار على ثلاثة من زملائه حيث يعملون في شركة للتبريد وتسبب لهم في جراح بالغة الخطورة حيث سدد لأليزابيث كناس (11) طلقة وعلى ريمي فللاريل (4) طلقات قبل أن يصيب بول. وأظهرت التحقيقات الأولية أن كاشولا دخل في حالة هياج وغضب شديد لا تزال دوافعه غامضة. وبحسب المحققين فإن نوبة الغضب أجبرت كاشولا على إشهار مسدس في وجه زملائه قبل أن يطلق النار عليهم تباعاً وينتهي بإطلاق النار على نفسه ويسقط قتيلاً في الحال. وكشف المحققون أن كاشولا سطّر كلمات أخيرة على صفحته على الفيس بوك تحدث فيها بأسى عن معنى وجود عدالة في الحياة، ويجتهد المحققون في إيجاد رابط بين كلمات كاشولا الأخيرة وملابسات الجريمة «الحياة غير عادلة لا يهم مهما فعلت لجعل الأمور تسير في نصابها الصحيح، إذن قل لي ما يجب القيام به للحفاظ على حياتنا في هذا العالم». من جانبه قال شقيقه بول إن كاشولا هرب من جنوب السودان إلى مصر بسبب الحرب الأهلية مع أفراد عائلته قبل انتقاله إلى بوفالو في نيويورك في العام 2009 وأنه جاء إلى ولاية نبراسكا قبل نحو عام، مشيراً إلى أنه لا يعلم بوجود مشاكل بين شقيقه وزملائه في الشركة. ويعتقد شقيقه أن الدافع وراء إطلاق النار سيتم اكتشافه من خلال استجواب العاملين هناك، مضيفاً: «أولئك الأشخاص مسؤولون عمّا حدث لأخي».
