The International Organization for Migration (IOM), established in 1951, is the
leading international organization in the field
of migration. Through the Migration for Development in Africa
(MIDA) program, IOM works with various African countries to reverse
the impact of the brain drain and facilitate contribution
from qualified Africans in the diaspora to the development
process in their countries of origin. In this context,
IOM is providing technical assistance in establishing the
Sudan Centre for Migration, Development and Population Studies
to lead in migration research in Sudan with special focus on mobilizing resources from the Sudanese diaspora
and developing migration-related policies to support national development.

This questionnaire is designed to gather general and impersonal information
about the Sudanese diaspora in the UK. The outcome of the questionnaire
is intended to assist building up the capacity of the Centre to carry out
similar research about the Sudanese
communities in other countries and ultimately to inform policy
development to integrate diaspora resources in the development process in Sudan.

This questionnaire is anonymous and at no point will
you be individually identified. We do not ask for your name or address.
