There will be a fundraising Dinner on October 4th at 2.00 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Alexandria, Virginia, to benefit the status of women in the New Sudan in the areas of:

1. Girl child education at the Secondary and Post Secondary level in the New Sudan.
2. Support women cooperative groups towards income generating activities in the New Sudan, to enable them support and sustain the girl-child effort.

Date: October 4th, 2003 at 2.00PM

We, the Southern Sudanese women in the Washington Metropolitan area have realized that promoting girl-child education is the key to women playing any significant roles in our new emerging country.

The dinner will feature authentic native Sudanese Foods. There will be an exhibition of crafts, arts, cultural music, poem reading traditional dress attire, individually handmade cushions and many more. There are a ‘MUST’ items to purchase, come see for yourself!

Tickets for Donation will be issued at the venue: Minimum of $20 per person, we encourage you to donate more than the minimum.

Please come and support our women.
