"There seems be a conspiracy of silence about personal
hatred. People don’t like to talk about it, yet, it seems
to go hand in hand with personal misery. Why is there so
much hatred in people?

Hatred is a desperate attempt to protect a false sense of
identity. If a man leaves a woman, she hates him because her
own actual emptiness has been exposed. Because hatred is such
a fiery emotion, it supplies a false feeling of aliveness and
strength. Hatred is terribly self-destructive. As the false self
fades through insight, hatred disappears."
