Quote: New Sudan, Yes We Can When the American people elected the first African American to the Office of the President of the United States of American and the first African American to be the First Lady, it was a unique historic moment that has called upon the whole history of humanity to attention and, in essence, opened the door for a new phase of human beings reconciliation and it is also a recognition of the values and cultures of the others and their legitimate and full right to be different. The historic and unique moment have also recalled from the past the unparalleled and relentless struggle of Martin Luther King and Malcolm X and their noble and captivating dreams for all human beings to be equal, since they were created equal and to acknowledge each other, regardless to their origin, race and color of skin (Peoples are born free and now are subjugated to inferior treatment) That was the noble call of humanity, religions, philosophers and intellectuals, women and men, through out the history, since Spartacus to Obama. Our country, the Sudan, need to celebrate the victory of Parak Obama at this important juncture of our history that extend back to seven thousands years of historical and contemporary diversity of cultures and religions. The election of Parak Obama represents a true moment of reconciliation and our country, at this moment, is in a dire need to reconcile with itself in order to cross to the other riverbank of citizens’ equal rights. The President elect Parak Obama might not be able to change the United States of America with one stroke, but the significance of his election is that it is possible to change the human beings life and the world towards justice and equality.
