Firs, it is not true that Garang's political and cultural legacy is entirely over since he is away from our world. In fact, the new Sudan perspective is inevitably coming to remain. Those who opine that such a legacy is finishing after the Garang death are in need to understand the societal crises we found ourselves in since the independence. Garang is not more than "we" whose life is always connected to persuade change toward the country progress.
From what I read of Elwathig's potent and eloquent mind, I understood and trusted that Grarang' existence is seeing through Elwathig's dedicated efforts to explain, in a good manner, the SPLM founder. And, therefore, one says that he is Elwathig who could better articulate paraphrased sight of what the new Sudan means. For all these, I find that it is of our duty to thank the writer for his love to Garang - and we share. Frankly, before this last article of Garang, I read several writings for Dr.Elwathig and found that he is the only Sudanese intellectual who may afford to demonstrate how Garang was, and is, the pioneer of the new Sudan movement, which is now active in the cultural and political arenas despite sorts of hurdles.

all my thanks to you, D.Elwathig
