3 days 4 Darfur will be a three day event organized by the African Union (AU) in collaboration with STAND Canada. The purpose of this event is to inspire student activism and advocacy in addressing the crisis in Darfur; along with raising funds for humanitarian aid in the war-torn region.


It is our goal to strengthen the voice of the students to demand leaders from the Canadian government to end the atrocities in Darfur. 3 days 4 Darfur is based around three facets: “EDUCATE-ACT-ADVOCATE.”

Monday:

We will be solely dedicated to educating students and staff about the conflict in Darfur (the history, the current situation, Canada and the World’s involvement, etc). Volunteers will be canvassing at various locations on campus; giving out educational materials and answering any questions people may have.


Tuesday:

We will focus on informing students about the various ways they can help the cause and what is currently being done around the world, specifically in Canada.


Wednesday:

African Union will focus on promoting student advocacy. Students will be encouraged to take their own initiative in this
cause. Everyone one has the power to make a difference.
