Garcia (center) called on Professor Elzubair Bashi Taha (right), Minister of Interior of Sudan, on 23 March 2006 in the course of the Embassy’s consular mission and overseas absentee voting (OAV) field registration in Sudan from 25 to 31 March 2006. Consul Charmaine Rowena C. Aviquivil (left) accompanied the Ambassador during the call. Ambassador Garcia and the Embassy team delivered consular and Assistance to Nationals (ATN) services and conducted OAV registration for the over 300 Filipino workers in the Paremba-Intect-Sudan Pile Consortium project site in Port Sudan, the 22 OFWs at the Kenana Sugar Company in the White Nile state, the 15 OFWs at the Camp Jabalyn site of Ranhill Petroneeds and a number of OFWs in Khartoum. The Embassy team processed 42 passport applications, 3 applications for replacement of lost passports, 3 reports of birth, 1 report of marriage, 9 notarials and 207 OAV registrants. The team also provided ATN services and advice to 16 OFWs. During the visit, Ambassador Garcia administered the oaths of Mr. Tarig El Nefeidi as Philippine Honorary Consul to Kartoum and Mr. Gamal Aldin Alwali as Philippine Honorary Consul to Port Sudan. The Philippine Embassy in Cairo has concurrent jurisdiction over Sudan. |
اثناء زيارة السفيرة الفليبينة لدى مصر والمعتمدة لدى السودان قام طارق النفيدي باداء القسم امامها كقنصل فخرى للفلبين فى الخرطوم وجمال الوالى كقنصل فخري للفلبين فى بورتسودان
وزير الداخلية بالتأكيد قام بتزكيتهم للسفبرة
