we are trying to "take back Darfur/Sudan" from the media and the west by redefining and restating what is going on in the region in terms of the politics, the humanitarian atrocities, the environment, the reaction of those in the region (something the media hardly ever touches on) and the effect that this has had on all of Sudan and the region in Africa.

We will be doing this through showing a movie by a Sudanese filmmaker, followed by a discussion lead and facilitated by Sudanese scholars/activists from all over Sudan. it should be a very well informed discussion and we would like to get your input as well. This is open to the public, so come and tell your friends/organizations about it, especially if you think you bring a unique perspective to the situation
This is an important opportunity for us Africans to discuss an issue that's ours, and to explore ways that empower our people to find solutions to our problems.
