Dollars for Terror: The United States and Islam
By: Richard Labevier
Algora Publishing (www.algora.com)
English Translation (2000)
ISBN: 1-892941-06-6
Originally published in French as Les Dollars de la Tereur, Les Etats-Unis et les Islamistes (1999)

This book was written before the 11 Sept and analyse the phenomena of Islamic fundamentalism and its connection with capital markets as well as the roles of the CIA, the Saudis and other Western regimes in propagating the phenomena.
This book got a similar frank and deep analysis as the writings of Giles Keppel and I have to say many of us who do not speak French are missing on a wealth of decent literature on fundamentalism.
Specifically on the analysis of the Shifa affairs, the writer provides the best analysis. His conclusion is that regardless of what the plant did or it did not do, it was a strong message that was received and understood by the NIF and their current behavious is actually proving the author analysis.

Sorry for those in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf as it is unlikely that the book will pass through the censors net as it is very critical of them.
