On saturday, me and my wife we went to see Marcel Khalifa in the World Music Institute in NY. It was just magical. We even had the opportunity to shake his hand and thank him for his performance. At some moments I almost smelt the aroms of Saida wa Beirut. Simple deep and humble, his presence was overwhelming. The warmth of his voice, took us to better spaces, and more generous suns, unlike the american ones. Amid the rainig skies, his melodies and lyrics were like a warm blanket on our backs.
Like a natural extension, we went to see Mahmoud Dirwish in Philadelphia. We couldn't catch the show, but we had a glimps on his aura.
What a weekend,....!!!!
