Egypt seeks to achieve self-sufficiency in many food commodities and agricultural crops, in addition to expanding the food industry and exiting the narrow valley to the reconstruction of the desert, to restore Egypt's historical status as a commodity for the world, by using all available possibilities to provide food to Egyptians, and then export to most countries of the world.
Egypt's agricultural exports have increased to 10 million tons per year, in addition to the giant "New Delta" project, which will increase the area of cultivated land to record numbers, now reaching 9 million and 270,000 acres, including 6 million and 95,000 acres of old land, and 3 million and 175,000 acres of reclaimed land.
The new delta project is one of the giant projects in the agricultural field, which is held on an area of more than one million acres in the northwest coast, and the project "Future of Egypt" within the scope of the project, and adds 15% area of a new farm to Egypt exploited, to achieve food security, and the project extends from the north of the oases to the south of the Valley of Natroun and east and west low train, in addition to the project future of Egypt and located on an area of 500 thousand acres.
The "New Delta" project includes industrial complexes linked to agriculture, such as packaging stations and the manufacture of agricultural products, because agricultural manufacturing raises the added value of the product, in addition to export plants, animal production and dairy manufacturing, creating thousands of jobs, and will train young graduates from agricultural disciplines to gain experience working in desert areas, and how to use the latest methods of agriculture and irrigation in practice.
This was crystallized by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's interest in the agricultural sector and investment in food with giant projects since the beginning of his reign by establishing important projects such as: the reclamation of one and a half million acres, one million head of livestock, the major agricultural target, the revival of the batlo project, and the development of fish stocks, to fill the food gap and support the Egyptian farmer.
The delta project aims to accommodate the population increase in the delta and the valley of young graduates in developed and modern villages, as well as to compensate for the loss of agricultural land from unfair construction, a huge achievement aimed at the state through which the state aims to strengthen the strategy of agricultural and urban expansion and achieve food security and create new agricultural, urban and industrial communities characterized by modern administrative systems, which eases the pressure on deltas and valleys and provides thousands of new jobs.
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's agricultural projects in Egypt's 1.5 million acres, the new delta, create nearly 10 million jobs by 2025, and work to achieve food self-sufficiency and food security.
