Stability ,it seems, is not a thing to be thought of in Sudan ,so long as this man called Hassan al Turabi is alive and still not off- the- political-map of this war-torn country. , At any rate, he shouldn't be part of any future political setting in this country ,which people he either mercilessly amputated, killed, widowed or orphaned in tens of thousands , since as back as the mid-80s of the past century, when he kindled a religious war against the southerners, who ,IN 2011, preferred secession to being second-class citizens in their ancestors, land ؟ Moreover he ignited the still-burning racial wars in Darfur, south kordofan and the blue Nile state ..to say nothing of his direct supervision of annihilating the indigenous ethnic groups of Sudan to replace them by different racial groups from neighboring countries, converting Sudan into a global terrorism hub ,introducing draconian torture methods alien to Sudanese communities and their traditions, PLUS the inconsiderate/indiscriminate physical liquidations of friends and foes alike, let alone our experiencing impunity ,racism and unprecedented state-protected corruption scandals by high-ranking serving officials etc ؟؟؟ In fact, he was put through his paces decades ago and enjoyed absolute power for long ,nevertheless all his lies ,contradictions and inapplicable policies of unknown significance only translated into glaring failures which shattered our country and reduced our living conditions to destitution, pushing us deeper below poverty line to be become urban poor(I purposely omitted rural populations who deserted their original places to live in shanty houses in the outskirts of main towns today؟) Therefore , the last thing we want to see happen IS his off-side attempt, nowadays, to make another comeback to the political theater, when he should have been hanged, flung into jail forever as a much-deserved punishment for his horrible crimes, or, at least , be left to stew in his own juice.. BUT another comeback؟؟؟؟؟؟؟ Good god, ..… ooh NO … not again , we have had enough, BECAUSE, in case he is mad, out of trim or dozed off …., we are still in our senses ( his BRAIN is said to have slightly become OUT OF ORDER ,after he was badly beaten by a Sudanese karate black-belter in CANADA a decade or so ago ) …..BUT we still remember with utmost precision all the horrific crimes he inflicted on us systematically and willfully under the bogus pretext of islamisation, for well over two decades, during which he and his notorious Islamic movement accumulated a good share of diverse enemies who still hold unforgettable grudges against him and his terrorist movement which, if not satisfactorily and adequately looked into and solved…. then, talking of peace ,stability and reconciliation in Sudan would sound like talking of snake oil or philosophers stones؟؟؟ Funnier yet ,is the man's endeavor to initiate alternative/ internal dialogues (which all failed for lack of trust in him؟) interestingly in all those stillborn dialogues , he was -solely -the one determining the agenda of the dialogue ,selecting venue ,setting the pace and dominating the field of play which he over –crowds with members of his movement ,nobodies and automatons loyal to him , under-cover security personnel and informants who go by the names of politicians and who are not concerned by the outcomes of such dialogues and/or the suffering of the helpless Sudanese people ..or even have the remotest idea or fore-feeling of the looming onset of the insurmountable challenges ahead ؟ AND as the saying goes : it takes two to tango .. Hence , if Dr. Turabi is really looking for a settlement ,a compromise or want to strike a deal under which he hopes to be granted impunity and amnesty for himself and his cursed movement ,THEN he needs to talk to his victims and opponents… not his puppets؟ And the attendees named above should be changed and replaced by the (HEROES؟) who staged the coup in 1989 and their civilian counterparts, who held positions and shouldered direct responsibility during the past gloomy quarter of century . ALL those should pluck courage and some degree of moral obligation to come forward and try to explain and/or justify what motivated their devastating decisions ,morally, legally ,financially and administratively. Which appraisal must be entrusted to an agreed -upon ,unquestionably neutral and truly independent grievance-mechanism lodged with sufficient and undisputed powers TO JUDGE if they deserve credit for success…. or blame for failure .THIS IS but, the one best way and the mother lode of negotiation tools, IF the man is TRULY seeking to solve OUR NATIONAL CRISIS(which I doubt؟) ,then it is the grievance-mechanism's duty to trace issues back to their origins and root causes to end up with identifying the real actors , WHO should then be named , exposed and held responsible for the irregularities of the past 26-years؟ ..BUT , if Dr. TURABI is under the false illusion that he could sweep all that bitch black history under the carpet and jump out to safety from his own sinking boat without even getting his toes wet…… THEN he had better continue doing what he is doing now(engaging in useless dynamism to achieve the unachievable؟) …and wait for the onset of the looming tribal and regional chaotic wars in which the biggest losers will not be the impoverished Sudanese masses who subsist on one meal/a day BUT Dr, Turabi himself and the well-off members of his Islamic movement who are rolling in their ill-gotten wealth of stolen public-money …whom the whole world failed to drill in their empty skulls the importance and benefits of peace ؟
