Snipers on the roof of the buildings shot peaceful demonstrators on 29/07/2019 in El Obeid capital of Kordofan. Five protestors were killed and more than 62 were injured some seriously. Live ammunition, tear gas and batons were used excessively.
Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of the victims and the people of the Sudan at this critical juncture of constitutional uncertainty in our nation's history.
This horrendous atrocity against the peaceful demonstrators in El Obeid constitute a threat to Freedom, Peace and Justice.
United Sudan Liberation Movement condemns with the strongest terms possible El Obeid massacre on unarmed civilians and holds theTransitional Military Council and the militias of the former ousted regime accountable for these horrendous crimes.
May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.
May those injured recover soon.
