Title: Research on Livelihoods in Sudan - please help me!

I am trying to research livelihoods for a university dissertation. I would particularly like to focus on Sudan but am having trouble finding any literature that will enable me to do so.
Does anyone know of any books/ articles etc that relate to livelihoods in Sudan?
I am particularly interested in finding out about street traders/ sellers/ hawkers/ tea ladies but have no information on Sudan.
Does the government have any laws or legislation that concerns trading in the street?
I would be very grateful if any one could help.
Thank you!

Klayre: You are researching on a very interesting topic. I doubt it if you would find any formal data on this topic. If I find anything I will let you know. I came across this article in the internet, it may guide through the studies that were conducted in this area.
best of luck!

Thank you very much for this link, I appreciate the time you spent searching for it.
I am aware of the lack of formal information on this topic, and that is one of the reasons that makes it more interesting for me.
I would love to know if any of the development institutes or university departments have researched street livelihoods. So my next question is does anyone know how I could contact a student, researcher or lecturer of development studies?
Many thanks
