Al-Basher calls for speeding up voluntary Repatriation of Sudanese Refugees in Chad

Khartoum, Jan.24 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Basher has directed the authorities concerned to speed up the work in the Voluntary Repatriation Program for the Sudanese refugees in Chad .
Al-Basher, who met, Wednesday, at the Presidential Palace, the State Minister at the Ministry of Interior, Babiker Ahmed Digna was briefed on the situations of the refugees in Sudan and the progress of the Electronic registration and the ID Number .
The minister said President Al-Basher has stressed the need for allocating sites for the returnees from Chad and to cooperate with the UNHCR and the government of Chad to speed up the implementation of the return process .
