Khartoum, 19 June (SUNA)- The parliamentary Foreign Relations committee, headed by Muhammad Mustafa Al Dhaw, its chairman, with its Kenyan counterpart, the Kenyan Security, Defense and Foreign Relations committee, reviewed in Khartoum issues of mutual interests and means of boosting parliamentary relations and cementing coordination in regional forums.
MP Mustafa said views were identical in many of the issues reviewed, stressing the need for the two sides to exchange visits. He said a Sudanese parliamentary delegation is leaving for Kenya where it will hand over message from Sudanese parliament speaker inviting his Kenyan counterpart to visit the Sudan and that memorandums of understanding on economic, culture, defense and other issues would be signed
The head of the Kenyan committee has stressed the need to boost relations further through cooperation at the regional context via the African Union and that consultations between the two sides in the field of economic, defense and security and education should be regularly held.
The two sides have further stressed the need to maintain the unity of the soils of each of the two countries and the need to boost the bilateral relation and African solidarity as well as unity of parliamentary stands and the need to make use of the resources Africa enjoys.
