Khartoum, Mar. 23 (SUNA)- Sudan is due to host during March 30 - 31 the Conference of Senate, Shura and Similar Houses in Africa and the Arab World, with participation of the speakers of 20 Arab and African parliaments, announced the Chairman of the Peace, National Reconciliation and External Relations at the Council of the States, Dr. Habib Makhtoum.
He said that convocation of the conference in Khartoum will mark transfer of the chairmanship of the League of Senate and Shura Council in Africa to the Sudan.
He indicated that the conferees will discuss security, economic, peace and governance issues in their countries.
Makhtoum said that the conference will discuss the coordination and exchange of experience and training between the participating countries.
It is to be recalled that the past Conference of Senate, Shura and Similar Houses in Africa and the Arab World was held in Ethiopia.
