Khartoum, Nov. 15 (SUNA) - The Minister of International Cooperation Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali has said that his ministry was on its way to invite the Walis (governors) of the States to deliberate, consult and coordinate in order to take advantage of the country programme for the years 2017-2021, which will be signed soon between the government of Sudan and donors.
The minister stressed, during a meeting at his office Sunday with the Wali of the Blue Nile State Hussein Yassin, the key principles for the effectiveness of international aid come in the context of matching the donor plans with the state's as to avail opportunities to identify national requirements and priorities, revealing that most of the donors' development support is on the fields of health, education and water, adding that the technical teams of the ministry's General Administration of Organizations and Blocs will pay inspection tours to the States in order to stand on the level of implementation of the development programmes provided by the donors.
The Wali of Blue Nile State, meanwhile, said that his state would prepare the development needs in accordance with the priorities and forward them to the Ministry of International Cooperation, which in turn it submit them to the donors.
